Land Board Notices

Waste Land Board Office, Dunedin, 9th October, 1872.

The Land Board will give its decision on his application at this Office, on Wednesday, the 23rd day of October, 1872, at 2 o’clock noon, or before which day, objections to the survey, if any, must be made. In the event of the application being granted, the purchase money may be paid to the Receiver of Land Revenue at Invercargill, within a few days.

NOTICE to APPLICANTS for UNSURVEYED LAND under “Otago Waste Lands Act 1866.”

It is hereby notified to the applicants whose names appear in the subjoined Schedule, that the Waste Land Board has declared them to be the purchasers of the sections set opposite their names in the Schedule, and that the purchase money of these sections must be paid to the Receiver of Land Revenue, in Invercargill, on or before Wednesday, the 23rd day of October, 1872, otherwise the applications will be deemed withdrawn, cancelled, and void, and the deposit made at the time of lodging the application will be forfeited.

EDUCATION RESERVES, SOUTHLAND.

Applications will be received by Mr. John H. Baker, Survey Office, Invercargill, from persons wishing to lease any of the Reserves as formerly advertised.

Copies of the Otago Regulations, and conditions for the Leasing of Education Reserves can be obtained from Mr. Baker, Invercargill.


FRIDAY, 11th October, at noon.

NOTICE is hereby given that the following sections in the Township of Greytown will be offered for sale by public auction at the Land Office, Dunedin, on Friday, the 11th October next, at noon:

Back sections at the upset price of £3 per quarter; front sections at £5 per section.

  • Sections 1 to 40, Block XIV; 1 to 11, 14 to 18, Block XV; 16, 17, and 18, Block XVI, 1 to 4, 17 to 20, Block XVII; 1 to 3, 8 to 11, 16, 17, and 20, Block XVIII; 1 and 2, Block XXI.

Immediately thereafter section 3, Block XIII, Dunedin and East Taieri district, adjoining sections 145 and 146, Green Island Bush district, will be offered at the upset price of 21s. per acre.


FRIDAY, 11th October, 1872.

EDUCATION RESERVE.

Section 2 of 7, Block VI, North-east Harbour and Blueskin District, will be leased at the Land Office, Dunedin, on Friday, the 11th of October, immediately after the sale of Crown Lands.

Copies of Regulations, and Conditions of Lease, may be had on application at the Education Office.

The undermentioned Town Lands will be sold by auction at the Land Office, Invercargill, at noon on Monday, the 21st October proximo:

NOTICE is hereby given, that section 13, block IV, Akatore District, containing 80a. 1r. 4p., and sections 11 and 18, block III, Akatore District, containing respectively 80a. 1r. 10p., and 78a. 3r. 12p., will be offered for sale by public auction, at Mr. Capstick’s Auction Rooms, Tokomairiro, on Monday the 28th day of October next, at noon, at the upset price of 10s. per acre.


TUESDAY, 29th, at noon.

SECTIONS 13, block XV, Clutha District, containing 52a. 2r., will be offered for sale by Auction, at the Crown Hotel, Balclutha on Tuesday, the 29th day of October next, at noon, at the upset price of 10s. per acre.


MONDAY, 28th, at noon.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the lease for 10 years of Run No. 445, situated on the Hawkdun Mountains, north of Mount Ida, containing 15,000 acres, will be offered for sale by Public Auction, at the Land Office, Dunedin, on Monday, the 28th day of October next, at noon, in Terms of the “Otago Waste Lands Act 1866,” at the upset price of half-penny per acre-rental to be assessment of 7d. per head on small cattle to be depastured on Run, but the minimum number not to be less than 1500 sheep; lease to commence on 1st October, 1872 - deposit of 1-10th part of the price and rental payable on fall of hammer, the balance as usual within a month.

Run No. 446, containing 1600 acres, situated in Tautuku Bush, on Tautuku River, adjoining Run No. 161, will be leased on that date, and subject to the usual conditions, to the present applicant, unless objections to the same are made to the Waste Lands Board, on or before the 26th day of December next.

Immediately after the sale of Run 445, section 90, block 6, North Harbour and Blueskin District, containing 70a. 3r. 22p., will be offered by auction, at the upset price of 10s. per acre.


MONDAY, 28th, at noon.

NOTICE is hereby given, that section 75, block IV, Moeraki District, formerly part of Puketapu Bush Reserve, containing 24a. 2r. 33p., will be offered for sale by public auction, at the North Western Hotel, Palmerston, on Monday, the 28th day of October next, at noon, at the upset price of £1 1s. per acre, and subject to repayment of survey expenses, amounting to £7 7s.

Immediately after, section 23, block 1, Waikouaiti District, containing 78a. 2r. 25p., will be offered by auction at the upset price of 10s. per acre.


NOTICE.

The Crichton Road Board intend to make (on the 14th October) a general district rate for the year ending 20th June, 1873, in accordance with the Otago Roads Ordinance, 1871. The proposed rate is deposited at the house of the Clerk for inspection from this date.

Roslyn District Road Board. - The Roslyn Road Board having decided to levy a rate of sixpence in the £ on all rateable property within the district, for the current year, notice is hereby given, that the rate book will be deposited, for the inspection of ratepayers, at Mr. Wm. Shedden's store, from the 1st to the 15th day of October current.
