MPOUNDED on the 13th day of September, 1872,
by L. Moore, Coal Creek Station, one white Cow,
no visible brands; one white Bullock, no visible brands;
one red Bullock, HL conjoined near rump, with broken
horn; owner unknown; for trespassing on Coal Creek
Run, for which four shillings damages are claimed, and
in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold
at the Public Pound at Palmerston, on Friday, the 11th
day of October, 1872, at 12 o’clock noon.—J. H.

by Francis M’Bride, Frankton, farmer, bay Mare,
black points, cripple on off fore leg, branded like HP
off shoulder; one grey gelding, indistinct brand on
near shoulder, and off neck; owner unknown; for
trespassing on grass paddock, for which I claim one
shilling per head damage, and in default of being
released, the above horses will be sold at the Public
Pound, at Hayes Lake, on Friday, the 11th day of
October, 1872, at 12 o’clock noon.—W. T. MARSHALL,

by Mr. J. P. Davidson, manager Malakanui Station,
one red and white Bullock, branded like GP near
rump; one red Cow, like HD conjoined off rump; one
red Heifer, no visible brands, half off near ear; one
white bullock, GP off rump; owner unknown; for
trespassing on Malakanui Station, for which seven
shillings per head expenses are claimed, and in default
of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the
Public Pound at Leaning Rock, Clyde, on Friday, the
11th day of October, 1872, at 12 o’clock noon.—

THE Undersigned, William Oram Ball, hereby
make application to register the Shag Valley
Freehold Quartz Mining Company (Registered) under
the provisions of the “Mining Companies Limited
Liability Act 1865,” and I do solemnly and sincerely
declare that the following statement is to the best of
my belief and knowledge true in every particular,
namely—

  1. The name and style of the Company is “The
    Shag Valley Freehold Quartz Mining Company
    (Registered).”
  2. The place of operations is at Shag Valley, in the
    Province of Otago.
  3. The nominal capital of the Company is £10,000,
    in 2000 shares of £5 each.
  4. The amount already paid up is two thousand
    pounds.
  5. The name of the manager is William Oram Ball.
  6. The office of the Company is at Princes street,
    Dunedin.
  7. The names and several residences of the shareholders,
    and the number of shares held by each at this
