TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Works, until noon of Tuesday, 8th October, 1872, for—
Contract No. 666—Formation of portion of road Tokomairiro to Coast, commencing at Devil’s Bridge, and extending towards Two Stone Hill.
Plans and Specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at Police Station, Tokomairiro.
Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works tender for Contract No. 666.”

WEST TAIERI RIVER DISTRICT.—Tenders are invited by the Board of Conservators for Cutting a Channel for the Taieri River through the gravel point on the east side of the river at Cooper’s Bend. Tenders to be sent to the Chairman of the Board on or before noon of Saturday, the 5th October next. Plans and specifications to be seen at Post Office, Outram.

FENCING.—Tenders to be lodged at Government Offices, Dunedin, by noon of Tuesday, 15th October, 1872, for erecting about 25 chains of Bush Post and Rail Fencing, at Industrial School. Further particulars may be obtained from Master of School.
SEASIDE ROAD BOARD.—Tenders required for Embanking north end of Taylor’s Creek Bridge. Plans, &c., can be seen with the Chairman, Mr. Howorth, or Mr. Graham, Taylor’s Creek. The Board do not bind themselves to accept the lowest or any tender. Tenders to be sent not later than the 21st day of October next, addressed to—THOMAS HOWORTH, Chairman.
NORTH TAIERI ROAD BOARD.—Wanted a Clerk. Applications to be made in writing, stating salary per annum, to the Chairman, on or before the 30th September, at 6 o’clock p.m. The Board will not be bound to accept the lowest or any application.

KAIKORAI DISTRICT SCHOOL.—Applications, with Testimonials, will be received by the School Committee till Tuesday, 1st October next, from qualified persons for Schoolmaster and Schoolmistress, for Kaikorai District School. Master’s Salary, £100 and allowance for house rent from Government, and 60 per cent of School Fees; Mistress’ Salary, £60 from Government and 20 per cent of School Fees. School to be opened on the beginning of January, 1873. Expected attendance of pupils, from 150 to 200.

WANTED Tenders for the offices of Clerk, Collector and Valuator for the Peninsula Road Board. Separate tenders to be made for each office, but the whole may be tendered for by the same person. Tenders to state the amount of remuneration required, to furnish testimonials as to competency, and to be prepared to give security in terms of the Road Board Ordinance. Tenders to be addressed to “Chairman of Road Board, Highcliffe Schoolhouse,” and to be delivered not later than the 4th October, 1872. The lowest or any Tender not necessarily accepted.

IMMIGRANTS’ PASSAGE-MONEY.—Notice to Assisted Immigrants who arrived in the Province before the year 1869.
All immigrants who have arrived in the Province by ships prior to those referred to in the notice hereunder, and who have not paid their passage-money, are requested to do so at once by remitting same to me. Proceedings will be taken to recover in all cases of non-payment. When necessary the time for payment will be extended.
