BONUS FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A GLASS BOTTLE MANUFACTORY.

The Provincial Government being desirous of encouraging the manufacture of Glass Bottles in Otago, is prepared to receive offers from parties willing to embark in the enterprise, and is further prepared to pay a bonus of £300, as under:—

On the erection of building and plant, of a value of not less than £500—£100.

On production of 100 gross of bottles—£100.

On production of a further quantity of 200 gross—£100.

Offers will be received at the Provincial Government Offices, Dunedin, and should state the estimated cost of the works proposed to be erected, the date on which the same will be in operation, and that the parties are prepared to be bound in the sum of £250 to produce 500 gross of Bottles within two years from the date on which the tender is accepted.

The Government does not bind itself to accept any offer.

Contract No. 658—Construction of Timber Bridge over the Owake stream on road, Glenomaru to Catlin’s River.

Plans and Specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin; and at the Post-office, Port Molyneux.

Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works Tender for Contract No. 658.”

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

STATIONERY AND PRINTING.

Separate tenders will be received at the Provincial Government Offices, Dunedin, until noon of Saturday, 21st September, 1872, for supply of Stationery and for Printing for Provincial Government during the year 1873.


NORTH-EAST VALLEY District.

Tenders required on or before the 30th inst., from persons willing to perform the office of Clerk, Collector and Valuator to the above District. All persons tendering must enclose testimonials and names of proposed securities. The lowest or any Tender will not necessarily be accepted. Applications to be addressed, “Chairman, at Mr. G. Calder’s, North-East Valley.”


COALS.

Tenders will be received, by telegraph or otherwise, at the Government Offices, Dunedin, until noon of Friday, 30th August 1872, for supplying the Railway Department, in the District of Southland, with Coal, until 31st December, 1872. For further particulars, apply to Railway Manager, Invercargill.

The Government will not be bound to accept the lowest or any tender.


APPOINTMENTS

APPLICATIONS are invited for the offices of Head Master, Second Master, and School Mistress for the Invercargill Grammar School about to be established.

The salary of the Head Master will be not less than £300 per annum, with residence. The salary of the Second Master not less than £175 per annum, and that of the School Mistress, not less than £100 per annum.

The successful applicants will be expected to be in Invercargill to commence their duties after the Christmas vacation.

Applications must be received not later than the first week in September, 1872, and be accompanied by testimonials and references, to be addressed to the “Chairman, Invercargill School Committee, Invercargill, New Zealand.”


WAIKOUAITI Road District.

Applications will be received by the undersigned till noon of 14th September, marked “Clerk and Collector,” from parties willing to act as such for the current year, stating remuneration required, and enclosing letter from some responsible individual, offering to become security for applicant. The lowest or any offer may not be accepted.
