Election shall be conducted: And whereas James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by proclamation under his hand, dated the 24th day of June, 1872, appointed Walter Henry Pearson, Esquire, Invercargill, to be the person before whom such election as aforesaid should be conducted, at the several districts and subdivisions hereinafter specified:
Now therefore I, William Alexander Imlay, Esquire, Deputy-Superintendent of the said Province of Otago, hereby revoke the said nomination and appointment of the said Walter Henry Pearson, and in his stead do hereby nominate and appoint the persons after-mentioned, by and before whom the elections of members of the district boards of the several districts and subdivisions hereinafter specified respectively and following their respective names shall be conducted in the manner provided by the said Ordinance.

PUBLIC NOTICE.
Under Section 1, Regulation IV.
Whereas I have received sufficient proof that the portion of the Otago Gold Field, described in the Schedule hereto, is for the whole or the greater part of an inferior character as regards the value of its gold deposits: Now, therefore, I hereby give notice that the same may be occupied by holders of Miners’ Rights, in claims of the undermentioned size, viz.—
One (1) acre for each holder of a Miner’s Right, provided that no block claim shall comprise more than six (6) acres altogether.
Given under my hand at Naseby, this 1st day of August, 1872.

All that portion of the Otago Gold Field, situate at Slaughter Yard Hill, Naseby: bounded on the north by old workings, 100 yards; on the south by A. M. Brown’s residence, area 100 yards; on the east by old workings, 50 yards; and on the west by old workings, 50 yards.
