WHEREAS by "The Otago Roads Ordinance 1871," and "The Otago Roads Ordinance Amendment Ordinance 1872," it is provided that the First Election of Members of the District Board in every district and subdivision of district shall take place and be held on such day as the Superintendent shall appoint.
