Vol. XVI. DUNEDIN, WEDNESDAY, JULY 3, 1872. No. 799.

In the matter of the Residence Area of one acre of land, situated five hundred (500) yards west of the Ferry Hotel, Bannockburn, in Graver’s Gully, marked off and held by Mr Steades S. Graver,
and in the matter of the Regulations of the Otago Gold Fields.

WHEREAS it has been shown to me that the residence area, situated five hundred (500) yards west of the Ferry Hotel, Bannockburn, in Graver’s Gully, in the Province of Otago, held by Mr Steades S. Graver, is required for public purposes, and should be resumed: I hereby, under the powers conferred by section nine, part twenty, of the Regulations of the Otago Gold Field, resume possession of the said residence area accordingly. Of all which notice is hereby given to the said Steades S. Graver and all others concerned.

Given under my hand, at Dunedin, the second day of July, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

OTAGO ROADS ORDINANCE 1871.

Alteration of Polling Places.

WHEREAS by notice and appointment dated the eighteenth day of June, 1872, published in Otago Provincial Gazette, the polling places for the respective districts and subdivisions of district therein mentioned, under and by virtue of the “Otago Roads Ordinance 1871,” were duly fixed and appointed until the same shall be altered or varied: And whereas it is expedient that the polling places in the districts and subdivisions of districts after-mentioned should be altered:

Now therefore I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, do hereby revoke the appointment of the polling places for the districts and subdivisions after-mentioned made by the notice and appointment dated the 18th day of June, 1872, and in lieu thereof do hereby appoint the places aftermentioned to be the polling places for the respective districts and subdivisions of districts after-mentioned at which the poll shall be taken at all elections under the “Otago Roads Ordinance 1871,” held for the same until duly altered or varied, of which notice is hereby given to all concerned:—

District. Polling Place.
Half-way Bush Flagstaff subdivision, the house of Mr. Hewitt, section 10, block IV, Dunedin and East Taieri.
N. E. Valley Harlington subdivision, the schoolhouse, Sawyer’s Bay.
South Molyneux Waitepeka subdivision, the house of Mr. Archibald Hodge.
Hampden Wendover subdivision, the Courthouse, Hampden.
Chalgrove subdivision, the Courthouse, Hampden.
Chalfont subdivision, the School house, Trotter’s Creek.

Given under my hand and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Otago, this second day of July, 1872.
