IMPOUNDED on the 5th day of June, 1872, by Henry Mitchell, Parkside, Caversham, one dark bay Gelding, star on forehead, trespassing on stable yard. Also, by John Anderson, Caversham, on 10th June, 1872, one dark bay Gelding, and one bright bay Gelding, trespassing on paddock, Caversham; no visible brand upon any of the above; for which no damages are claimed, and in default of being released, the above horses will be sold at the Public Pound of Oamaru, on Friday, the 28th June, 1872, at 12 o'clock noon.—Farm. Corrs., poundkeeper of the Oamaru pound.

I, THE UNDERSIGNED, DANIEL KERMODE, hereby make application to register the "Maerewhenua Water-Race and Mining Company, Registered," under the provisions of the "Mining Companies Limited Liability Act 1865 Amendment Act 1870," and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is to the best of my belief and knowledge true in every particular, viz:—
The name and style of the Company is "The Maerewhenua Water Race and Mining Company Registered."
The place of operation is at Maerewhenua.
The nominal capital is three thousand pounds, in two hundred shares of fifteen pounds each.
The amount already paid up is £200.
The name of the manager is Daniel Kermode.
The office of the Company is at Maerewhenua.
The names of the several residences of the Shareholders, and the number of Shares held by each at this date, are as follows:—

To ALL to whom these presents shall come. We, John Lomas, John Taylor, and Andrew Courtney, all of Waipori, in the Province of Otago, and Colony of New Zealand, Gold Miners, send greeting. Whereas we are the persons solely and exclusively interested, whether as creditors of, or shareholders in the Devils Creek Quartz Mining and Crushing Company, Registered—a Company incorporated and duly registered under the provisions of the "Mining Companies Limited Liability Act 1865," and the various Acts amending the same, by virtue of a certificate, dated the 13th day of February, 1872; and whereas in the proceedings to incorporate the said Company various errors and omissions occurred, which rendered the said Company unable safely to carry out the objects for which it was incorporated. And whereas, by an order of the Resident Magistrate’s Court of the Otago Gold Fields, holden at Lawrence, dated the 27th day of May, 1872, it was ordered that said Devils Creek Quartz Mining and Crushing Company, Registered, should be wound up in accordance with the Mining Companies Limited Liability Act, and the various Acts amending the same, by William Hayes, of Lawrence, Accountant. Now know ye that we, the said John Lomas, John Taylor, and Andrew Courtney, do hereby declare that we desire the said Devils Creek Quartz Mining and Crushing Company, Registered, shall be declared to be fully wound up and extinct, in order that another Company may be incorporated, by the same name, to carry out the purposes for which the said Company was formed; and we assent to the said order, and to the winding up of the said Company by the said William Hayes, and to the transfer and assignment of all the estate and effects of the said Company to such succeeding Company to be formed as aforesaid.
