PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS

Plans and specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at the office of the Railway manager, Invercargill.

Tenders to be endorsed "Roads and Works tender for Contract No. 649."

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

PAYMENTS TO BE MADE IN LAND.

TENDERS will be received at the office of the Secretary for Works, until noon of Tuesday, 2nd July, for Contracts Nos. 646, 647 and 648—Constructing portions of the Puerua road, in block I, Glenomaru district.

Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, and at the Post-office, Port Molyneux.

Tenders to be endorsed "Roads and Works tender for Contract No. 646, 647, or 648," as the case may be.

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

FLAGSTAFF Road Board Works.—Tenders wanted

For Road Works—Cutting, Pitching, and Culverts. Messrs. Miller and Jolly will show the site of proposed works to intending contractors on Monday, the 17th June instant, and noon, to meet at Mr. Jolly’s house, Warie Flat. Plans and specifications will be left with Mr. James Doughty, office of Provisional Trustee in Bankruptcy, High street, Dunedin, where tenders are to be left on or before Saturday, the 22nd June, at noon. The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.—E. H. Ussher, Surveyor and Engineer to Board.—Dunedin, 11th June, 1872.

BRIGHTON ROAD DISTRICT.

Tenders will be received by the undersigned, for the erection of a Wooden Bridge over what is termed the Messrs Mee’s Creek, similar to that over M’Leods Creek, with stone-built approaches of side next to the sea, up to noon on Thursday, the 20th inst. Intending tenderers to meet at the house of Mr J. B. Blair, on Saturday, the 15th inst., at 12 o’clock, when the work will be pointed out to them.—PETER LEITCH, Clerk.—Otokia, 8th June 1872.

CLARENDON Road Board.—Tenders will be

received by the undersigned up to Friday, 14th June, for Road Works in the following contracts:—

No. 15, from Lake Waipori Bridge to Boundary Creek Bridge; No. 16, from Boundary Creek Bridge to Flax Hill; No. 17, repairs on road through block X, Clarendon.

Mr. M’Bride will meet intending contractors at Lake Waipori Bridge, at 10 o’clock on Wednesday, 12th June, to show the work in Contract No. 15, and Mr. James Sutherland will meet intending contractors at Boundary Creek Bridge on the following day, at 11 o’clock, and point out the works in Contracts Nos. 16 and 17. ANDERSON’S BAY Road District.—Tenders

wanted, until Tuesday, the 18th June, 1872, for formation of portions of District Roads, and Metal, at per yard. Specifications, &c., seen at Mr. Adam Nicholls, Anderson’s Bay.—Anderson’s Bay, 12th June, 1872.

CLYDE DISTRICT SCHOOL.—Wanted a Master

and a Mistress. Guaranteed joint salary, £225 per annum. Fresh applications with testimonials, to be lodged on or before Monday, 2nd July, with A. CHRISTOPHERS, Clerk.

SCHOOLMISTRESS wanted for Mornington School.

Salary £85 per annum. Applications with testimonials to be lodged on or before the 19th current with A. R. Ure, Dunedin.

WASTE LAND BOARD ADVERTISEMENTS.

EDUCATION RESERVES, SOUTHLAND.

APPLICATIONS will be received by Mr. John H. Baker, Survey Office, Invercargill, from persons wishing to lease any of the Reserves as formerly advertised.

Copies of the Otago Regulations and conditions for the Leasing of Education Reserves can be obtained from Mr. Baker, Invercargill.

NOTICE to APPLICANTS for UNSURVEYED

LAND under "Otago Waste Lands Act 1866."

The Section in the subjoined Schedule being now surveyed, the applicant is informed that the Waste Land Board will give its decision on his application at this Office, on Wednesday, the 26th day of June, 1872, at 12 o’clock noon, on or before which day, objections to the survey, if any, must be made. In the event of the applications being granted, the purchase money may be paid forthwith.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the lease, for 10 years, of Run No. 257, containing 9660 acres, will be offered for sale by public auction, at the Land Office, Dunedin, on Monday, the 17th day of June, 1872, at noon, in terms of Clause 78, "Otago Waste Lands Act 1866," at the upset price of half-penny per acre, rental to be assessment of 3s. 6d. per head on Cattle depastured, power reserved to increase assessment if understocked. Lease to commence 12th December, 1872.
