PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

IN Conformity to the 29th Section of the "Gold Fields Act 1866," and to the Regulations made under that Act and the "Gold Fields Acts Amendment Acts of 1867, 1868, and 1869," for the granting of leases for gold mining purposes within the Province of Otago, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease for gold mining purposes of Crown Lands to the applicant specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against granting such lease.

Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing, and lodged with the Warden, at Queenstown, on or before the 14th day of June, 1872.

Copy of the application made, and plans annexed, may be seen at the Warden’s Office at Queenstown.

Given under my hand, at Dunedin, this 4th day of June, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

SCHEDULE.

Robert Gunn, John Dunlop, and Matthew M’Laren, for a Mining Lease of eight acres of land, more or less, as the same may be found after Survey to be contained within the pegs and trenches of the applicants. Situated on Spear Grass Hill, Deep Creek, Upper Shotover.

Notice is hereby given that a Sitting of the Supreme Court for the despatch of Criminal and Civil Business will be held at the Supreme Court House, Dunedin, on Monday, the first day of July next, at the hour of ten o’clock in the forenoon, at which time and place all persons bound by recognizances to appear as Prosecutors, Defendants, or Witnesses, are required to give their attendance.

Notice is hereby further given that the Civil Cases will not be called on for trial until Tuesday, the ninth day of July, at ten o’clock in the forenoon.

WASTE LAND BOARD ADVERTISEMENTS.

EDUCATION RESERVES, SOUTHLAND.

Applications will be received by Mr. John H. Baker, Survey Office, Invercargill, from persons wishing to lease any of the Reserves as formerly advertised.

Copies of the Otago Regulations and conditions for the Leasing of Education Reserves can be obtained from Mr. Baker, Invercargill.

MONDAY, 10th June, at noon.

NOTICE is hereby given that section 5, block VI, Rankleburn District, containing 97 acres 1 rood, will be offered for sale by public auction at Lawrence Survey Office, on Monday, the 10th day of June, 1872, at noon, at the upset price of 10s per acre, with survey expenses added.

TUESDAY, 11th June, at noon.

NOTICE. -- Objections to the granting of a Mining Lease for one year over the ground contained within the following boundaries, will be heard before the Waste Land Board at Invercargill, on the 11th June next, at twelve o’clock.

All that piece of land in the Reserve, known as the Ferry Reserve, Waimumu Hundred, containing by admeasurement 10 acres, more or less, bounded west by main road from Invercargill to Dunedin, south by the Waimumu; east by Mataura River; north by an east and west line to include required acreage.

MONDAY, 17th June, at noon.

Fortification Run, near Toe Toes.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the lease, for 10 years, of Run No. 257, containing 9660 acres, will be offered for sale by public auction, at the Land Office, Dunedin, on Monday, the 17th day of June 1872, at noon, in terms of Clause 78, "Otago Waste Lands Act 1866," at the upset price of half-penny per acre, rental to be assessment of 3s 6d per head on cattle depastured, power reserved to increase assessment if understocked. Lease to commence 12th December, 1872.
