TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Lands and Works until noon of Friday, 7th June, for Contract No. 642, Alterations and Repairs to Invercargill Goods Shed.
Plans and specifications may be seen and Forms of tender obtained, at the Office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at the Railway Office, Invercargill.
Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works Tender for Contract No. 642.”
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

Plans and specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained, at the Office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at the Police Station, Naseby.
Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works Tender for Contract No. 643, 644, or 645,” as the case may be.
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

TAIERI ROAD BOARD WORKS.—Tenders wanted for works requiring to be done on the District Road leading from the Main North Taieri Road beyond Campbell’s Flat Mill. Mr. D. Nichol will on Monday next, the 27th May, at 12 o’clock, be in attendance at the junction of the said District and Main Roads to show contractors site of proposed works. Plans and specifications will be left for inspection at the office of Mr. James Dougherty, High street (office of Provisional Trustee in Bankruptcy) to whom the tenders are to be sent in on or before Saturday, 1st June, at 12 o’clock.
The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.

WANTED, for the Queenstown Main District School, a Schoolmaster and Schoolmistress.
Salary, Government subsidy of £160, and School fees of 1s per week added, subject to a deduction of £30 per annum. Probable salary from above sources £300 with a good house rent free.
Must be duly qualified teachers, and the master able to teach singing. Engagement to be for one year only. Average attendance during 1871, 77.

WANTED—A Teacher for the Side School, Hill End. Salary, £75 per annum, and school fees, house, and glebe.

WAIKIVI SCHOOL DISTRICT.—A Teacher is required for the Waikivi School District under the Board of Education. Salary—Government subsidy and school fees, with free residence. Applications, with testimonials, to be sent in to the undersigned on or before 31st May.—L. CROWIE, Clerk to School Committee.
PUBLICANS' LICENSES.—The Quarterly Meeting for granting Licenses, &c., will be held in the Resident Magistrates’ Courts throughout the Province on Tuesday, 4th June, 1872, at noon.
POLLING PLACE.—Waikouaiti District.—The School House, Macraes, has been made an additional polling place for the said district for the election of member for the House of Representatives.

EDUCATION RESERVES, SOUTHLAND.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the lease, for 10 years, of Run No. 257, containing 9660 acres, will be offered for sale by public auction, at the Land Office, Dunedin, on Monday, the 17th day of June, 1872, at noon, in terms of Clause 78, “Otago Waste Lands Act 1866,” at the upset price of half-penny per acre, rental to be assessment of 3s. 6d. per head on cattle depastured, power reserved to increase assessment if understocked. Lease to commence 12th December, 1872.
