In the matter of the business area fronting Derwent street at “Naseby,” marked off and held by Mr. F. Franks, and in the matter of the Regulations of the Otago Gold Fields.
WHEREAS it has been shown to me that the business area fronting Derwent street at Naseby in the Province of Otago, held by Mr. Francis Franks, is required for a public purpose and should be resumed; I hereby, under the powers conferred by section nine, part twenty of the Regulations of the Otago Gold Field, resume possession of the said business area, and require the said Francis Franks to cede possession of the said business area accordingly. Of all which, Notice is hereby given to the said Francis Franks and all others concerned.
Given under my hand at Dunedin the fourteenth day of May, one thousand and seventy-two.

31st May, Friday, at noon, one bull, nine cows, seven calves, four heifers, and two steers will be sold at the Papakaio pound.
31st May, Friday, at noon, one entire horse will be sold at Otakia pound.
31st May, Friday, at noon, a riding mare will be sold at Tokomairiro pound.
31st May, Friday, at noon, a mare will be sold at Lawrence pound.
31st May, Friday, at noon, a horse and a mare will be sold at Glenkenich pound.
Time Extended.
TENDERS will be received at the office of the Secretary for Works, until noon of Tuesday, 28th May, for Contract No. 479.—Construction of a Stone and Iron Bridge over the Paiwata Stream, Main South Road.
Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin; and at the Police Station, Balclutha.
Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works, Tender for Contract No. 479.”
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.
