MEETING OF THE PROVINCIAL COUNCIL.
PROCLAMATION.
By His Honor James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.
In pursuance of the power and authority vested in me in that behalf, I do hereby fix and proclaim that the Thirtieth Session of the Provincial Council of the Province of Otago, shall be holden within the Provincial Council Hall, Dunedin, in the said Province, and shall commence upon Tuesday, the thirtieth day of April, 1872, at 12 o’clock noon; and the Members of the said Council are hereby warned to give their attendance at such time and place accordingly.
Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the said Province, this twenty-eighth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

NOTICE TO PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT OFFICERS.
TELEGRAMS.—The practice having become prevalent of using the Telegram on Government service, instead of writing by mail, it is hereby notified that in future officers sending messages by telegram, excepting in cases of emergency, and where such cannot be avoided without detriment to the Public Service, will be charged with the cost of such messages.

ABSTRACT FROM PREVIOUS GAZETTES of Impounding Notices:—
12th April, Friday noon, 3 cows, 1 heifer, and 1 steer will be sold at Clyde Pound.
12th April, Friday noon, about 125 sheep will be sold at Hampden Pound.
12th April, Friday noon, one bay cob, a brown mare, a colt, one bay mare (hack), will be sold at Waitahuna West Pound.
CONTRACTS FOR WHICH PAYMENTS ARE TO BE MADE IN LAND.
Time Extended.
TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Works, until noon of Tuesday, the 23rd April, for
Contract No. 635—Formation of portions of Road Naseby to Coal-pit between Naseby and Kyeburn.
Plans and specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin; or at the Police Station, Naseby.
Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works Tender for Contract No. 635.”
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.
TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Works until noon of Friday, 19th April, for
Contracts Nos. 637 and 638—Maintenance of portions of road “Tokomairiro to Tuapeka.”
Plans and specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at the Police Station, Lawrence.
Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works Tender for Contract Nos. 637 and 638.”
