REGISTRATION FORMS may be had from any of the Registration Offices in the Province, or from the Provincial Government Storekeeper, Dunedin.
SUPREME COURT.—Notice is hereby given that a Sitting of the Supreme Court for the despatch of Criminal and Civil business, will be holden at the Supreme Court House, Dunedin, on Wednesday the 3rd day of April 1872, at the hour of ten o’clock in the forenoon, at which time and place all persons bound by recognizances to appear as prosecutors, defendants, or witnesses are required to give their attendance.
Notice is hereby further given that the Civil Cases will not be called on for trial, until Tuesday, the ninth day of April, at ten o’clock in the forenoon.
FINAL NOTICE.
PORT OBELLO Road Board.—Notice is hereby given that the rate is payable to me at my house; but for the convenience of those at a distance, I shall attend at the School-house Portobello, on Saturday, the 23rd inst., from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.; and notice is hereby further given that all rates not paid by the 2nd April, legal proceedings will be taken without any other notice whatever, to recover the same.—William Dickson, Clerk to the Board, Portobello, 5th March, 1872.
FLAGSTAFF Road Board.—The ratepayers are requested to pay the amount of their respective rates to me, at my house, on or before Friday, 22nd March, 1872; otherwise legal proceedings will be taken.—D. M’Quillan, Collector.
BALCLUTHA POUND.
NOTICE.—The owner of the chestnut mare Impounded by Robert Paterson on the 26th January, and sold by George Bain, poundkeeper, Balclutha, on the 16th February, advertised in the Government Gazette of 31st January, 1872, can obtain possession of her by paying the expenses, in consequence of her brand being advertised like M instead of like K conjoined.—George Bain, poundkeeper.
IMPOUNDED on the 9th day of March, 1872, by Thomas Grundy, Ranger; one red yearling heifer, double back-bit near car, portion off; one straw heifer, steer, colt at foot, same marks; one white steer, yellow neck; do., one yellow steer, JH near loin; one red cow, do., and W off rump; one dark spotted bull, DR (conjoined) off rump; red heifer, white back, U off rump; one red and white steer, no brands; one straw steer, red neck, no brands; one black yearling heifer, do.; one red poley bull calf, do.; one red and white bull, do.; one light red bull, white back, do., for trespassing on the Gold Fields, owners unknown, for which five shillings per head is claimed; and, in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the public Pound at Lawrence on Friday, the 27th day of March, 1872, at twelve o’clock noon.—Peter Robertson, Poundkeeper of the Lawrence Pound.
IMPOUNDED, on the second day of March, 1872. I red and white cow branded like SS near rump; I red and white heifer, brand not visible; one red and white heifer, branded like a heart and Y combined off rump; I strawberry steer, branded like a circle with a stroke across off rump, by Robert Turnbull, Esq., Montere Station, owners unknown, for trespassing on Montere Station, for which no damages are claimed; and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at Leaning Rock, Clyde, on Friday, the 29th day of March, 1872, at 12 o’clock noon.—Wm. Williams, Poundkeeper of the Leaning Rock, Clyde, Pound.
IMPOUNDED, on North Tokomairiro Hundred, by John Irving Ranger—Yellow and white Bull, 4 years old; red Bull, 3 do.; dark red Bull, 2 do.; brindle do.; yellow and white do.; yellow Heifer; yellow do., white back; red and yellow do.; red do.; yellow Steer; strawberry Heifer; red Cow and Calf; red do., and red Calf; yellow Cow, down horns; red and white Calf; all no brands: black and white Heifer, branded AM; black Cow and heifer Calf, branded JU off rump; and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the public pound Tokomairiro, on Friday, the 27th day of March, 1872, at 12 o’clock noon.—James Goodall, Poundkeeper of the Public Pound, Tokomairiro.
WE, Adam Begg and James Henry Popham, of Anderson’s Bay, in the Province of Otago, and Colony of New Zealand, do solemnly and sincerely declare that the annexed Abstract of Accounts of the Anderson’s Bay Cemetery Board, for the years 1870 and 1871, are correct in every respect, and we make this solemn declaration, conscientiously believing the same to be true, and by virtue of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand entitled “The Justices of the Peace Act 1866.”
