PROVINCIAL COMPULSORY LAND TAKING ACT 1866.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is intended to introduce a Bill into the Provincial Council of the Province of Otago, at its next Session, authorising the Superintendent of the Province of Otago to take compulsorily for the purpose of completing a road in the Walton Road District, parts of sections numbered respectively forty-nine and fifty (49 and 50), block seven (7), Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District, of the Province of Otago aforesaid; also for the purpose of completing a road in the Portobello Road District, part of section numbered twenty-eight (28), block five (5), Portobello Survey District, of the Province of Otago aforesaid; also for the purpose of completing a road in the Portobello Road District, part of section numbered twenty-four (24), block five (5), of the Portobello Survey District, of the Province of Otago aforesaid; also, for the purpose of completing a road in the Port Molyneux Road District, parts of sections numbered respectively eleven (11) and twelve (12), block eight (8), South Molyneux Survey District, of the Province of Otago aforesaid; also, for the purpose of completing a road in the Port Molyneux Road District, part of section numbered fifteen (15), block two (2), Glenomaru Survey District, of the Province of Otago aforesaid; and for the purpose of completing a road in the Motupipi Road District, parts of sections numbered respectively five (5) and six (6), block thirty (30), Waihola District, of the said Province of Otago. And notice is hereby further given that a copy of the Bill so intended to be introduced as aforesaid may be inspected at the office of the Clerk of the Provincial Council of Otago aforesaid, on and after the thirteenth day of March, 1872.

NOTICE is hereby given that the application of Johan Peters for a Gold Mining Lease of Section 30, Block XVIII, Tuapeka East, has been refused by the Warden, and the land is open for occupation by holders of Miners’ Rights.

I HEREBY give notice that I am prepared to receive applications under the Agricultural Lease Regulations, from persons desirous of occupying land of that part of the Otago Gold Field described by Proclamation in the Provincial Government Gazette of the 27th December, 1871.

NOTICE.

MALICIOUSLY SETTING FIRE TO A BRIDGE.

WHEREAS early in the morning of Tuesday, the 2nd of January last, the bridge over the Arrow River, between Big Beach, New Chum Gully and Arrowtown, the property of the Provincial Government of Otago, was maliciously set on fire and damaged to the value of about £60.

Notice is hereby given that a reward of £20 will be paid by the Provincial Government of Otago, for such information as will lead to the conviction of the person who maliciously set fire to the said bridge.

Contract No. 631—Formation of portion of the road “Riverton to Otatau.”

Plans and Specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin; or at the Police Station, Riverton.

Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works Tender for Contract No. 630,” or 631, as the case may be.

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Works, until noon of Friday, 22nd March, for Contracts Nos. 607, 608, 609, 610, 611, 612, 613, 614, 615, 616, 617 and 618—Maintenance of Road, “Dunedin to Waikouaiti.”

Specifications may be seen and forms of Tender obtained at the Office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, or at the Toll-House, Blueskin, for Contracts: Nos. 610, 611, 612, 613, 614 and 615, and Police Station, Waikouaiti, for Contracts Nos. 616, 617 and 618.

Tenders to be endorsed, “Roads and Works Tender for Contract Nos. 607, 608, 609, 610, 611, 612, 613, 614, 615, 616, 617 or 618,” as the case may be.

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any Tender.

TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Works, until noon of Friday, 22nd March, for Contracts Nos. 624, 625 and 626—Maintenance of road “Dunedin to Portobello.”

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Works, until noon of Friday, 22nd March, for Contracts Nos. 627, 628 and 629.
