PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
IN Conformity to the 29th Section of the “Gold Fields Act 1866,” and to the Regulations made under that Act and the “Gold Fields Acts Amendment Acts 1867, 1868, and 1869,” for the granting of leases for gold mining purposes within the Province of Otago, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease for gold mining purposes of Crown Lands to the applicant specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against granting such lease.
Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing, and lodged with the Warden, at Queenstown, on or before the 26th day of March, 1872.
Copy of the application made, and plans annexed, may be seen at the Warden’s Office at Queenstown.
Given under my hand, at Dunedin, this 12th day of March, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

August Lorenson, Homeward Bound Company, for ten acres of land, more or less as the same may be found after survey to be contained with the pegs and trenches of the applicant. Situate at Pleasant Creek, Skippers Creek.
CLOSING ROADS.
NOTICE is hereby given that objections having been lodged with me against the shutting-up of certain Road Lines included in the Roads Diversion Ordinance 1871, situate in the District of Enfield, Goodwood, Highcliffe, Meadow Bank, Oteramika, Sandymount, Warepa, and Waitahuna West, a Special Meeting of the Executive Council will be held in the Government Buildings, Dunedin, on Thursday, the 21st day of March, at noon, for the purpose of deciding the said Objections, when parties interested are invited to be present.

PROVINCIAL COMPULSORY LAND TAKING ACT 1866.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is intended to introduce a Bill into the Provincial Council of the Province of Otago, at its next Session, authorising the Superintendent of the Province of Otago (inter alia,) to take compulsorily for the purpose of completing a road in the Breadalbane Road District of the Province of Otago aforesaid, part of Section thirty-two (32), Block one (I) Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District, of the said Province of Otago.
And notice is hereby further given that a copy of the Bill so intended to be introduced as aforesaid, may be inspected at the office of the Clerk of the Provincial Council of Otago aforesaid, on and after the twenty-sixth day of March current.
