PUBLIC NOTICE,
Under Section 1, Regulation IV.

WHEREAS I have received sufficient proof that the portion of the Otago Goldfield described in the Schedule hereto, is for the whole or the greater part of an inferior character as regards the value of its gold deposits: Now therefore I hereby give notice that the same may be occupied by holders of Miners’ Rights in claims of the undermentioned size, viz.:-

One (1) Acre for each holder of a Miner’s Right, provided that no block claim shall comprise more than six (6) acres altogether.

Given under my hand at Dunedin, this fifth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

SCHEDULE.

All that portion of the Hindon division of the Otago Gold Field, comprising twelve acres, more or less, bounded towards the north by the spur between Old Mullochy Gully and Quartz Reef Gully; towards the east by Quartz Reef Gully; towards the west by the Round Hill, and towards the south by Mullochy Creek.

SCHEDULE.

All that portion of the Otago Gold Field comprising three acres, more or less, situate between the Hamilton road and the Main Gully, Hogburn, and bounded as follows, viz.:- On the north by the Hamilton road, 5½ chains; on the south by the Main Gully, 5 chains; on the east by Crown Lands, 6½ chains, and on the west by Crotty’s garden, 5 chains.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is intended to introduce a Bill into the Provincial Council of the Province of Otago, at its next Session, authorising the Superintendent of the Province of Otago to take compulsorily for the purpose of completing a road in the Walton Road District, parts of sections numbered respectively forty-nine and fifty (49 and 50), block seven (7), Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District, of the Province of Otago aforesaid; also for the purpose of completing a road in the Portobello Road District, part of section numbered twenty-eight (28), block five (5), Portobello Survey District, of the Province of Otago aforesaid; also for the purpose of completing a road in the Portobello Road District, part of section numbered twenty-four (24), block five (5), of the Portobello Survey District, of the Province of Otago aforesaid; also, for the purpose of com...
