NOTICE.—The Ratepayers of the N.E. Harbor and Broad Bay Road Districts are hereby notified that they must pay their respective rates to me, at my residence, on or before Monday, the 12th February next, otherwise legal proceedings will be taken to recover the same.—ROBT. RAYNBIRD, Collector.

WAIMATUKU Road District.—Ratepayers of the district are required to pay the amount of their respective rates to me, at my house, on or before the 9th February, 1872.—JAMES FULLARTON, Collector. Flint’s Bush, 15th January, 1872.

NOTICE.—All accounts due to the Copmanhurst Local Road Board must be paid on or before February 10th, 1872.—THOS. HORNE, Clerk and Collector.

POUNDKEEPERS.—Several Poundkeepers having neglected to make their Returns as required by the Impounding Ordinance, are reminded that penalty for such neglect is £20, which will be enforced if the returns are not made forthwith. 23rd Jan., 1872.

GLENKENICH POUND.—The bay horse impounded on the 16th, by Mr John Dickison, should be bay horse, star on forehead, shod on fore feet, now shows M near shoulder, and like 428 off neck.—A. MACGREGOR.

INCH CLUTHA Pound.—The Chestnut Mare that is advertised for sale on the 2nd day of February is released; but the Bay Horse is not—it is still in Pound.—F. BASSETT.

IMPOUNDED, on the 26th day of January, 1872, by Mr Robert Allen, Oamaru, one dark red and white bullock, branded WR off rump, owner unknown, for trespassing on his paddocks, for which no damage is claimed; and, in default of being released, the above bullock will be sold, at the public pound, Oamaru, on Friday, the 16th day of February, 1872, at 12 o’clock noon.—JOHN GRAY, Poundkeeper of the Oamaru Pound.

IMPOUNDED on the twenty-fourth day of January, 1872, 1 black and white cow, branded like M Y off rump, 2" off ribs, X O near ribs, P B off hip; 1 red and white steer, G P off rump; 1 red and white cow, J N off hip, off ear marked; 1 red and white heifer, J N off hip, off ear marked; 1 strawberry cow, H near rump, ears marked; 1 strawberry heifer, M S near ribs; 1 red pole steer, H off rump, A near hip; 1 red and white cow, M off rump, V off hip; 1 red and white heifer, no visible brand: by C. A. De Lantour, Esq., from Messrs. J. A. Douglass and Co.’s Run, owners unknown, for trespassing on Messrs. J. A. Douglass’ Station at Ida Valley Gorge, for which seven and sixpence per head damages are claimed; and, in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at Leaning Rock, Clyde, on Friday, the 16th day of February, 1872, at twelve o’clock noon.—WILLIAM WILLIAMS, Poundkeeper of the Leaning Rock, Clyde, Pound.

IMPOUNDED on the 23rd day of January, 1872, by Mr. Donaldson, East Taieri, one dark bay or brown mare, white stripe in forehead, branded like W off shoulder, collar marked: for which 10s. damages is claimed, owner unknown; and in default of being released, the above mare will be sold at the public pound at East Taieri, on Friday, 16th day of February, 1872, at 12 o’clock noon:—JAMES PURVIS, Poundkeeper of the East Taieri Pound.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the Partnership heretofore existing between James Nicholas, John Lindley Edwards, and John Jenkins, of Cromwell, carrying on business as coal miners, under the style or firm of Nicholas and Co., has been dissolved this day by mutual consent.

All debts due to the partnership will be received, and all liabilities will be discharged by James Nicholas, who will continue to carry on the business under the style used by the late firm.
