SCHEDULE.
Thomas Gogarty and Patrick J. Greer, for ten acres of land, adjoining Guffie and Latham’s lease, Acre Tunnel Hill, Clark’s Diggings.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
IN conformity to the 29th Section of the “Gold Fields Act 1866,” and to the Regulations made under that Act and the Gold Fields Acts Amendment Acts of 1867, 1868, and 1869, for the granting of leases for gold mining purposes within the Province of Otago; it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease for gold mining purposes of Crown Lands to the applicant specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against granting such lease.
Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing and lodged with the Warden at Cromwell, on or before the 26th day of January.
Copy of the application made, and plans annexed, may be seen at the Warden’s Office, at Cromwell.

SCHEDULE.
Thomas Black, for Colclough Quartz Reef Company (Registered), for ten acres of land [being the claim of Colclough Quartz Reef Company (Registered)] at Bendigo Gully.
NOTICE—Whereas it is intended to stop up the Road which is described in the Schedule hereunderwritten, and is delineated on the map or plan mentioned and referred to in the “Roads Diversion Ordinance 1864,” Session XIX, copies of which map or plan so far as it relates to the particular road or portion of road intended to be stopped up in the Road District specified in the Schedule, have been deposited at the Public School mentioned immediately after the description of the respective road or portion of road intended to be stopped up in such district: Now therefore I, James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by virtue and in exercise of the powers vested in me in that behalf by the “Roads Diversion Ordinance 1864,” Session No. XIX, do hereby give notice that all persons objecting to the stopping up of such road or portion of road, are required to set forth a statement in writing of any well-grounded objections they may have to the stopping up of such road or portion of road, and to leave such statement, addressed to me, at my office in Dunedin, within sixty days from the first publication hereof, otherwise such objections will not be considered by me.
Waikari Road District, No. 4.
(1.) All that area in the Province of Otago, containing by admeasurement 1a 2r 34p, more or less, situate in the Upper Kaikorai district, bounded towards the north-east by sections 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 and 20, block III, 2950 links; and towards the south-west by section 17, block IV, 2760 links.
Plan to be seen at Schoolhouse, Waikari.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the application made by John Gibson Smith, for a Gold Mining Lease of 10 acres of land in Table Hill District, Tuapaka, in close proximity to the new Ocean View Company’s claim, has been refused by the Warden, and the land is open for occupation by holders of Miner’s Rights.

NOTICE is hereby given, that H. L. Squires has withdrawn his application for a Mining Lease of 400 yards by 200 yards of land situated in Quartz Gully, Nuggety Gully, Waitahuna, Block VII, Table Hill, applied for on behalf of the Waitahuna Nuggety Gully Company, and the land is now open for occupation by holders of Miners’ Rights.

Under Section 1, Regulation IV.
WHEREAS I have received sufficient proof that the portion of the Otago Goldfield described in the Schedule hereto, is for the whole or the greater part of an inferior character as regards the value of its gold deposits: Now therefore I hereby give notice that the same may be occupied by holders of Miners’ Rights in claims of the undermentioned size, viz.:—
One (1) acre for each holder of a Miner’s Right, provided that no block claim shall comprise more than six (6) acres altogether.
