22nd December, Friday noon, two Cows, two Calves and a Heifer will be sold at Palmerston pound.

22nd December, Friday noon, ten Cows, three Bullocks, two Heifers and one Steer will be sold at Lawrence pound.

22nd December, Friday noon, five Cows, four Heifers, three Steers and a Bull will be sold at Leaning Rock, Clyde, Pound.

29th December, Friday, noon, a horse will be sold at West Taieri Pound.

29th December, Friday, noon, a bullock and a cow will be sold at Palmerston Pound.

29th December, Friday, noon, two horses will be sold at Tokomairiro Pound.


TENDERS

Tenders will be received at the office of the Secretary for Land and Works, until noon of Friday, 22nd December, for Contract No. 569, construction of a timber jetty and store at the mouth of the Waikouaiti River.

Plans and Specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, or at the Police Station, Waikouaiti.

Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works Tender for Contract No. 569.”

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

NORTH Taieri Road Board.—Tenders are invited

for gravelling 40 chains, more or less of Schoolhouse Road. Also 60 chains, more or less of Duke of Edinburgh road. Plans and specifications may be seen at my house, and tenders left with the undersigned, on or before the 22nd December. The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.—Robert Pearson, Clerk to the Board. Silverstream, December 13th, 1871.


GREEN ISLAND.—Wanted, Tenders for the above

Road Board for cutting and forming about 15 chains, more or less, of road. Tenders will be shown the works on the ground at noon, when plans and specifications will be seen, on Saturday the 23rd.

Tenders will be received by me up till Thursday, the 27th, 6 p.m. The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.—Thos. C. Bunt, Clerk to the above Board. December 15th, 1871.


SANDYMOUNT Road District.—Tenders are invited

for clearing bush, and formation and metal on several Road lines. The inspectors will meet the contractors at the Lime Kilns, at 12 o’clock on the 10th January, 1872, to show works and specifications, and receive tenders up till four o’clock, p.m. The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.—Geo.
