WAREPA Road District.—Notice is hereby given of the intention of the Warepa Road Board to apply at the General Road Board at its meeting in January next, for authority to levy a Highway Rate of 1s in the pound on the annual value of all lands, houses, &c for the year ending June, 1872. Ratepayers may see the Assessment roll at the Schoolhouse.—T. H. MEEKING, Clerk.

THE Clarendon Road Board hereby notifies its intention to apply to the General Road Board, at the January meeting, for authority to levy a Highway Rate of One Shilling in the £ on the annual value of all lands rateable in the district, for the year 1871-72.

NOTICE.—The Waimatuku Road Board hereby notify their intention of applying at the first meeting of the General Road Board that will be held after 20th December prox., for authority to levy a Highway Rate of 3d. per acre for the current year in the above road district.

NOTICE.—North Taieri Road Board.—Notice is hereby given, that the Precept authorising the collection of the Highway Rate for the above-named district having been issued by the General Road Board, ratepayers are requested to pay the amount of their respective rates to me, at my house, on or before the 29th December, 1871.—R. MOTUPIPI Road District.—The Precept authorising the collection of Highway Rate for 1871-72 having been issued by the General Road Board, ratepayers are requested to pay the amount of their respective rates to me, at my house, on or before the 29th December, 1871.—PETER LEITCH, Clerk.

BEACONSFIELD Road Board.—Notice is hereby given that a Precept authorising the collection of the Highway Rate in the above named district having been issued by the General Road Board, ratepayers are requested to pay the amount of their respective rates to me, at my house, on or before the 29th December, 1871.—ELIAS JONES, Collector, December 4th, 1871.

FINEGAND Road District.—Notice is hereby given that a Precept, authorising the collection of the Highway Rate in the above-named district, having been issued by the General Road Board, ratepayers are requested to pay the amount of their respective rates to me, at my house, on or before the 29th December, 1871.—ARCHIBALD HODGE, Collector.

WEST HARBOR ROAD DISTRICT.—Notice.—All arrears of rates now due must be paid to me within 14 days from this date.—HENRY SUTCLIFFE, Collector. Sawyer\'s Bay, 13th December, 1871.

SADDLE Hill Road District.—The General Road Board having issued a Precept authorising a Highway Rate in the above district for the year 1871-72 of one shilling in the pound. Ratepayers are hereby requested to pay the amount of their respective rates to me at my house within thirty days from date.—WILLIAM JAFFRAY, Collector, 5th December, 1871.

ADVERTISEMENT.—Notice is hereby given, that all Road Rates due in the Highcliffe district for the present year, 1871-72, must be paid to me at the School-house, Highcliff, on or before Friday, the 29th inst. All accounts unsettled at that date will be recovered by process of law, without further notice.—WM. HAY, Collector to Highcliffe Road Board. Highcliffe, December 5, 1871.

CHALFONT Road Board.—Notice—Ratepayers are requested to pay the amount of their respective rates to me, at my house, Bellgrove, on or before the 2nd day of January, 1872, otherwise legal proceedings will be taken for the recovery of the same.—ALEX. CHALGROVE ROAD BOARD.—Notice.—Ratepayers are requested to pay the amount of their respective rates to me, at my house, on or before the 21st day of December, 1871, otherwise legal proceedings will be taken for the recovery of the same.—ALEX. YOUNG, Clerk and Collector. Hampden, 23rd November, 1871.

IMPOUNDED on the 30th day of November, 1871, by Mounted-Constable Albert, West Taieri, one bay horse, no visible brand, supposed to belong to John Currie, Maungatua, for trespassing on public road, West Taieri, for which no damages is claimed; and in default of being released the above horse will be sold at the Public Pound at West Taieri on Friday, the 29th day of December, 1871, at twelve o\'clock noon.—MICHAEL TYNAN, Poundkeeper of the West Taieri Pound.

IMPOUNDED on the 4th day of DECEMBER, 1871, by John Jorden, Shag Valley, one yellow and white bullock, branded like anvil near rump towards head, owner unknown, for trespassing on oat paddocks, for which five shillings damages are claimed; and in default of being released the above bullock will be sold at the Public Pound at Palmerston on Friday, the 29th day of December, 1871, at twelve o\'clock noon.—J. IMPOUNDED on the 5th day of December, 1871, by Mr. Innes, ranger, about 195 sheep, (ewes and lambs), some branded HK (conjoined), some indistinct brand, owners unknown, for trespassing on the Moeraki Hundreds, for which one penny per head damages is claimed; and in default of being released, the above sheep will be sold at the Public Pound at Hampden on Friday, the 29th day of December, 1871, at twelve o\'clock noon.—H. T. MURCOTT, Poundkeeper of the Hampden Pound.

IMPOUNDED on the 6th day of December, 1871, by Thomas Murray, Esq., for trespassing on his paddock, one black horse, branded H near shoulder; likewise one roan horse, impounded by John Irving, ranger, branded S near shoulder and 18 off neck, for trespassing on main road; owners unknown, for which twenty shillings damages are claimed, and in default of being released the above horses will be sold at the Public Pound at Tokomairiro on Friday, the 29th day of December, 1871, at twelve o\'clock noon.—JAMES GOODALL, Poundkeeper of the Public Pound, Tokomairiro.

IMPOUNDED on the 8th day of December, 1871, by L. Moore, Coal Creek Station, one white cow, no visible brands, and one white heifer, no visible brands, owner unknown, for trespassing on Coal Creek Station, for which five shillings damages is claimed; and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at Palmerston on Friday, the 29th day of December, 1871, at twelve o\'clock noon.—J.
