INSPECTORS OF GOLD FIELDS DEPASTURING DISTRICTS.
APPLICATIONS will be received until the 31st December, from persons desirous of filling the office of Inspector of the Gold Fields Depasturing Districts of Tuapeka and Wakatipu respectively.
The District of Tuapeka embraces the Districts of Waitahuna, Teviot and Switzers; and the District of Wakatipu embraces that of Clyde.
The salary attached to the office of Inspector is at the rate of £150 per annum.

OF THE LANDS HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED
Now, therefore, I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Province, and by virtue and in exercise of the powers delegated to the Executive Government of the said Province in this behalf by His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand in Council, under the authority of the “Gold Fields Act Amendment Act 1867,” and of any and every other power in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby cancel the said lease, in so far as the lands comprised within the area hereinafter described are affected by the said lease, but no further or otherwise (that is to say):
All that area in the Province of Otago, being a portion of Run numbered 206A on the map of the North-eastern Pastoral Districts of the said Province, and now known as section 2, block I, Naseby Survey District, containing by admeasurement forty-seven (47) acres three (3) roods and ten (10) poles more or less; and bounded by a line commencing at a point bearing 75° 55', and distant one thousand five hundred and fifty-five links from Trigonometrical Station X, Naseby Survey District aforesaid, and proceeding thence on a bearing of 63° 28', one thousand (1000) links; thence bearing 153° 28', three thousand two hundred and eighty-two (3282) links; thence bearing 188° 49½', one thousand four hundred and four (1404) links; thence bearing 248° 17', five hundred and eighty-two (582) links; thence bearing 158° 17', four thousand three hundred and eighty-three (4383) links to the starting point, and intersected by a road line one hundred links wide.
Given under my hand and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Otago, in presence of Donald Reid and Joseph Benn Bradshaw, Esquires, Members of the Executive Council of the said Province, being also Members of the Provincial Council thereof, this first day of December, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-one.
