N.B.—The purchasers of sections 4 and 7, block II,
if other than the present occupants, must pay valuation
for the buildings erected thereon in addition to the

Waikouaiti District. Tenders will be received
for a Lease of the above Section at the Land Office,
Dunedin, up to Friday, the 6th of October next.
On that date, also, Section 52, block I, Otokia
District, containing 12a. 2r. 15p., will be offered for
Sale by public auction, at 12 o’clock noon, at the upset
price of 21s. per acre.
FRIDAY, 13th OCTOBER, NOON.
NOTICE is hereby given that Section 29, Block III,
Kaitangata District, containing 165a. 0r. 11p.;
and Section 1 of 31, Block IV, Akatore District,
containing 40 acres, will be offered for sale, by public
auction, at the Auction Rooms of Mr. R. W. Capstick,
Tokomairiro, on Friday, the 13th day of October next,
at noon, at the upset price of 10s. per acre.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Lease of the
Clutha Sandspit, being sections 1, 2, and 3,
Coast District, will be offered for sale by public auction,
at the auction rooms of Mr. R. W. Capstick,
Tokomairiro, on Friday, the 27th day of October next, at
12 o’clock noon, at the upset price of £10 per annum.
Deposit on fall of hammer to be £10.

IMPOUNDED on the 16th September, 1871, by
William Palmer of Otokia, one two year old bull,
red and white, branded D off rump, owner unknown,
for trespassing on enclosed ground, for which tin shillings
damages are claimed, and in default of being
released, the above bull will be sold at the public
pound at Otokia, on Friday, the 20th October, 1871,
at 12 o’clock noon.—SAMUEL O’KANE, Poundkeeper of

IMPOUNDED on the 25th September, 1871, one
yellow and white cow, one white calf, one red and
white steer, one red and white heifer, one red and white
calf, one red and white heifer, no visible brands, one
red and white bull, near ear split, by Thomas Pratt,
owner unknown, for trespassing on Native Reserve,
Waikouaiti, for which no damages are claimed, and in
default of being released, the above cattle will be sold
at the public pound at Hawksbury, on Friday the 20th

IMPOUNDED on the 25th September, 1871, one
red and white steer, one red and white heifer, no
visible brands, by John McLaughlin, Hawksbury,
owner unknown, for trespassing on Hawksbury Bush
district roads, for which 1s 6d each damages is claimed,
and in default of being released, the above cattle will
be sold at the public pound at Hawksbury, on Friday,

TOMAHAWK ROAD DISTRICT.—Notice is
hereby given that a precept authorising the collection
of the Highway Rate in the above named district
having been issued by the General Road Board,
ratepayers are requested to pay the amount of their
respective rates to me, at my house, on or before the 4th

MAUNGATUA ROAD DISTRICT.—Notice is
hereby given that a precept authorising the collection
of the Highway Rate in the above named district
having been issued by the General Road Board,
Ratepayers are requested to pay the amount of their
respective rates to me, at my house, on or before the 24th

HIGHCLIFFE ROAD DISTRICT.—Notice is
hereby given that the precept authorising the
collection of the Road Rate for the present year in the
Highcliffe district has been issued, and the sums
mentioned therein must be paid to me, at my house, on or
before the 26th day of October, 1871.—WILLIAM HAY,

KAIKORAI ROAD DISTRICT.—Notice.—The
precept having been issued authorising the collection
of the Highway Rate in the Kaikorai road
district for the year ending 23rd June, 1872, Ratepayers
are requested to pay their rates to me at my
house on or before the 24th day of October, 1872.

NOTICE TO MAKE A FENCE.
TO the Heir-at-Law or Representatives of William
M’Millan, deceased, or to whom it may concern,
being owners of section 49, block I, Oteramika
Hundred: Take notice that I desire that the boundary
or separating fence between sections 47 and 49 block I,
Oteramika Hundred be made at once from the Government
road to the frontage of the bush; and that such
fence shall be a post and two railed fence with single
ditch.

NOTICE.
THE partnership hitherto existing between George
Milne and Craven Paget of Alexandra, Coal
Merchants, has this day been dissolved by mutual consent.
All accounts due to the said firm must be paid
to George Milne; and all accounts owing by said firm
will be discharged by said George Milne, Craven Paget
having nothing whatever to do with the above named
partnership from this date.
