THE ASHLEY DOWN ROAD BOARD hereby notifies its intention to apply to the General Board for authority to levy a Highway Rate of sixpence per pound of annual value on all lands, houses, mills, buildings, &c., in the district. IMPOUNDED on the 22nd September, 1871, one roan cow, indistinct brand or mark on off thigh, one white calf, no visible brand, by John M‘Laughlin, Hawksbury, owner unknown, for trespassing on Hawksbury Bush Road District, for which 1s 6d damages is claimed, and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at Hawksbury, on Friday, the 18th October, 1871, at twelve o’clock noon.—Arch.
