The said land being bounded on the north by part of north boundary of aforesaid block, 4607 links; towards the south-east by a public road, 1417 links, 2034 links, and 2707 links; and on the west by a Bush Reserve, 3695 links, and containing by admeasurement 63 acres 3 roods 0 poles.

THE following Sections of TOWN LAND will be sold by auction at the times and places mentioned below:—

At the Land Office, Invercargill, at noon of Monday, the 9th October.

Sections 11, 12 and 13, block III, Winton—upset price £8.
Section 17, block III, Wallecetown—upset price £4.

On the ground at Orepuki, at noon of Wednesday, the 11th October,
Sections 5, 6, 7, 8, block I, Orepuki;
Sections 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, block II, Orepuki—upset price £5.

N.B.—The purchasers of sections 4 and 7, block II, if other than the present occupants, must pay valuation for the buildings erected thereon in addition to the price of the land.

NOTICE is Hereby Given that 3800 acres, being Waiarika Hundred, adjoining the Districts of Tuturau and Waikaka, and lately under license, is open for application as ordinary rural land at the upset price of £1 per acre. Applications to be lodged at the Invercargill District Land Office.


ISLAND in Blueskin Bay, section 68A, Block I, Waikouaiti District. Tenders will be received for a Lease of the above Section at the Land Office, Dunedin, up to Friday, the 6th of October next.

On that date, also, Section 52, Block I, Otokia District, containing 12a. 2r. 15p., will be offered for Sale by public auction, at 12 o’clock, noon, at the upset price of 21s. per acre.


NOTICE is hereby given, that Section 20, Block IX, Otepopo District, containing 153a. 3r. 33p., is now open for application as ordinary Rural Land.

NOTICE TO RUNHOLDERS.—The Lessees and Licensees of Runs within the recently declared Land District of Invercargill, will please to forward to the District Land Office, Invercargill, the Return of Stock ordered by the Waste Land Act to be made during September, and to pay the Assessment due thereon to the Receiver of Land Revenue there, on 1st October, 1871.

NOTICE is hereby given that Sections 3 to 6, 9 to 21, 26 to 28, 31 to 38, 40 to 42, Block I, Lower Hawea District, are now open for application as ordinary rural land, at the upset price of £1 per acre.


NOTICE.—Settlers desirous of Depasturing Cattle on the Strath Taieri Hundred are requested to make the required return, and to take out Depasturing Licenses. Forms and every information may be had from the Ranger, and at this office.


NOTICE is hereby given, that Section 29, Block III, Kaitangata District, containing 165a. 0r. 11p.; and Section 1 of 31, Block IV, Akatore District, containing 40 acres, will be offered for sale, by public auction, at the Auction Rooms of Mr. R. W. Capstick, Tokomairiro, on Friday, the 13th day of October next, at noon, at the upset price of 10s. per acre.


EDUCATIONAL MEETING.

A MEETING of the Owners and Occupiers of Land and Householders within the newly-constituted Educational District of Riverton will be held in the Schoolhouse, North Riverton, upon Friday, the 22nd day of September, 1871, at seven o’clock p.m., to elect a School Committee for the said district for the remainder of the current year. The election will be made in manner provided by clause 14 of the “Education Ordinance, 1864.”

THE Broad Bay Road Board hereby give Notice of their intention to apply to the General Road Board, at their sitting in October, for authority to levy a rate of sixpence per £1 for the year ending June, 1872.

WHIRO ROAD BOARD.—Notice is hereby given of the intention of Owhiro Road Board to apply to the General Board at its meeting in October for leave to levy a Highway Rate of One Shilling in the Pound on annual value of all lands and houses for year ending June 23rd 1872. The Assessment Roll can be inspected at the house of Mr. Wm. Milnes for fourteen days after the 6th September, 1871.—M. Donovan, Clerk to the Board.


SIGNAL HILL ROAD BOARD notify their intention to apply to the General Road Board at the October sitting for authority to levy a Highway Rate of Threepence per acre for the year ending June, 1872. The assessment roll is open for inspection at my house, Signal Hill, fourteen days from date.—Hugh Browne, Clerk to the Board, 5th September, 1871.


PORTOBELLO LOCAL ROAD BOARD.—Notice is hereby given that the rate roll for the District will lie for inspection at the Schoolhouse, Portobello, from this date until Saturday, the 23rd instant, Sundays excepted.—William Dickson, Clerk to the Board. Portobello, 4th September, 1871.


NOTICE.—Kaihiku Local Road Board hereby notify their intention of applying to the General Road Board, on the first Thursday of October, 1871, for authority to levy a Highway Rate of threepence per acre on all rateable lands within the district, for year ending June 1872.
