NOTICE
Of certain Lands in the Province of Otago having been reserved for Educational purposes
By His Honor JAMES MACANDREW, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.
WHEREAS the Provincial Council of Otago have under and by virtue of Section 62 of the "Otago Waste Lands Act 1866," recommended that the lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto subjoined should be reserved from sale, and set aside for and appropriated to the purposes of Public Education in the Province of Otago, and for the general advancement of Education in the said Province, and it is expedient that the said Lands should be so reserved for those purposes:
Now, therefore, I, James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, in pursuance and exercise of the power vested in me in this behalf by the "Otago Waste Lands Act, 1866," do hereby publish and declare that I have made and dedicated the Lands hereinafter specified Reserves for the purposes of Public Education in the Province of Otago, and for the general advancement of Education in the said Province.
Description of Lands above referred to:—
All that area in the Province of Otago, containing by admeasurement one (1) acre and thirteen (13) poles, more or less, situate in Tuapeka East District, being section 30, block X, on the map of the said district: bounded towards the north-west by sections numbered respectively 21 and 22, five hundred and sixty-seven (567) links; towards the north-east by section numbered 5, two hundred and sixteen (216) links; towards the south-east by Crown Lands, one hundred and sixty (160) links, and five hundred and fourteen (514) links; towards the south-west by Crown Lands, seventy-three (73) links; and towards the west by a road line, two hundred and thirteen (213) links.
All that parcel of land in the Province of Otago, Colony of New Zealand, containing by admeasurement one (1) rood and seven (7) poles, more or less, situate in the Soho District, being Section numbered 1 on the Map of the said district: bounded towards the north-east by Crown Lands, one hundred and sixty-nine (169) links; towards the south-east by Crown Lands, two hundred (200) links; towards the south-west by Crown Lands, one hundred and a-half (100½) links and sixty-eight (68) links; towards the north-west by Crown Lands, sixty-seven (67) links and one hundred and thirty-three (133) links.
All that area in the Province of Otago, being part of section 15, block XIII, Invercargill Hundred, containing nine (9) acres: bounded on the north by a public road, on the east by section 2 of block XV, on the south by Education Reserve No. 7, and on the west by the Main North road.
Dated at Dunedin this seventh day of August, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-one.

APPLICATIONS will be received at the Land Office, Invercargill, for the purchase of section 35, block III, Winton Hundred, hitherto temporarily reserved, on Monday, the 18th day of September next.
