Road Board Notices and Passengers




VINGATUI ROAD BOARD.

Notice is hereby given, that the above Board purpose applying to the General Road Board, at the August Sitting, for authority to levy a Highway Rate of One Shilling per Pound of annual value on all lands and buildings in said district.

The Assessment Roll is now ready, and may be inspected for fourteen days from date, at my house.

MAUNGATUA ROAD BOARD.

Notice is hereby given of the intention of the Maungatua Road Board to apply to the General Road Board in September next, for permission to levy a Rate of Sixpence in the Pound on the annual value of all lands, &c., in the district, for the year ending June, 1872.

The Assessment Roll can be inspected in the School-house, Maungatua, for fourteen days after the fourth of August, 1871.

Impounded by Mr William Strain, one Bullock, black and white spots, no visible brand, for breaking into his corn yard, for which 20s. damages is charged, and if not released will be sold at the public pound, Tokomairi, on Friday, the 18th August, 1871, at 12 o’clock.

Impounded on the 26th day of July, 1871, by Mr Donaldson, one red heifer, no visible brand; one dark red heifer, no visible brand; one red or spotted heifer; no brand; owner unknown; trespassing on the farm of Mr Donaldson, for which no damages are claimed, and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the public pound, at East Taieri, on Friday, the 18th day of August, 1871, at twelve o’clock noon.
