IMPOUNDED

On the 29th day of June, 1871, by Lachlan McLean, Bellamy, one red Cow, with grey hairs mixed, branded like N off rump, with white bull calf at foot unbranded, owner unknown, for trespassing on Bellamy Run, for which two shillings each is claimed; and, in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at Lawrence, on the 28th day of July, 1871, at 12 o’clock noon.—PETER ROBERTSON, Poundkeeper of the Lawrence Pound.

CITY OF DUNEDIN

Public notice is hereby given, that the nomination of Candidates for election to the office of Mayor, for the year ending 1st August, 1872, will be declared on Thursday, the 13th July instant, at the Terrace of the Provincial Council Chambers, at the hour of noon.

Nominations must be in form of Schedule D, of the “Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance 1865,” and be lodged at the Town Clerk’s office, Manse street (where blank forms may be had), on or before noon of the day herein fixed for the declaration.
