SCHEDULE.
- All that portion of the Otago Gold Field situate at Horse Flat, near Macraes’ Flat, and comprising about thirty acres, and bounded as follows, viz.:—commencing at the upper side of the White Rocks; thence by a direct line to Benton’s hut; thence to the crossing of the track at the head of Blind Gully; thence by Blind Gully to the bottom of said gully; and thence by a direct line to the starting point.
Will be open for application as ordinary Rural Land, at the upset price of £1 per acre. And that, on and after that date, Section 31, Block VI, Maungatua, containing 31a. 3r. 30p., will be open for application as ordinary Rural Land, at the upset price of £1 per acre.
NOTICE is hereby given that Section 27, Block II, Dunedin & East Taieri district, containing 86a 3r 11p, will be offered for sale by public auction, at the Land Office, Dunedin, on Monday, the 3rd day of July next, at 12 o’clock noon, at the upset price of 10s. per acre.

DEBORAH BAY ROAD DISTRICT.
Tenders will be received by the undersigned till noon on Saturday, 10th June, for the undermentioned works:—
- Clearing and heath roads from road line, from junction of Purakanni and Heads roads to Middle road, Lower Harbor West. Also,
- Forming about 20 chains of Road No. 3.

HARLINGTON ROAD DISTRICT.
Tenders will be received at Mr. James Wright’s, Mount Pleasant, till Saturday, the 10th June next, at six o’clock p.m., for Clearing Fifty Chains, more or less, of Bush, and Forming and Metalling Five Chains of Road. Intending contractors are requested to meet at Mr. Cameron’s Store, Sawyers’ Bay, on Thursday, the 8th June, when the works will be pointed out. NOTICE is hereby given that Section 52, Block I, Otokia District, will be offered for sale by public auction, as land of special value, at the Land Office, Dunedin, on Monday, the 26th day of June next, at 12 o’clock noon, at the upset price of 21s per acre.

NOTICE is hereby given that Section 60, Block IV, Oamaru District, part of Quarry Reserve, containing 61a. 2r. 20p. will be offered for sale by public auction at the Auction Rooms of Mr. Shrimski, Oamaru, on Monday, the 5th day of June next, at the upset price of £2 per acre, reserving the right to the present licensees to quarry thereunto the expiry of their leases.

NOTICE is hereby given, that Sections 4, 5, and 6, Block XVI, Waihola District, 50 acres each, more or less, will be offered for sale, by public auction, at the Auction Rooms of Mr. W. Capstick, Tokomairiro, on Monday, the 5th day of June next, at the upset price of 10s. per acre.
OTAGO UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS.
THE following Scholarships will be open for competition to the Students for the Ministry of the Presbyterian Church of Otago and Southland, on the 5th day of June next:—
- The Synod Scholarship. Value, £25 per annum for three years.
- The Lang Scholarship. Value, £16 per annum for three years.
- The Knox Church Scholarship. Value, £30 per annum for three years.
The Competitive Examination will be held in the Class-room of Knox Church, Dunedin, on the day above named. Intending competitors, who must not be under 16 years of age, are required to leave written notice, accompanied by certificate of character, not later than the 15th May, with the undersigned, who will afford any needful information as to the subjects of examination.

Notice is hereby given that, in pursuance of the “Otago Roads Ordinance 1865,” the annual meetings of persons liable to be rated are hereby appointed to be held at the times and places within the several Districts after-mentioned, for the purpose of electing qualified persons to serve as members of the several Local Boards for the ensuing year.
