Windsor Road District. (No 26).

  1. All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement 0a 3r 8p more or less being a road line situate in the Awamoko Survey District bounded on each side by sections numbered 8 and 9 block VII 1600 links more or less.

  2. All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement 3a 2r 32p more or less being a road line situate in the Awamoko Survey District bounded on each side by sections numbered 25 and 26 block V and part of 19 block VII 3700 links more or less.

  3. All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement 1a 0r 4p more or less being a road line situate in the Awamoko Survey District bounded on the north by part of section No 20 block V 2050 links more or less and on the south by section No 28 and part of 21 block V 2050 links more or less.

  4. All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement 1a 1r 0p more or less being a road line situate in the Awamoko Survey District bounded on the north by sections numbered 25 and 26 block V 2500 links more or less and on the south by sections numbered 23 and 80 block V 2500 links.

  6. All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement 4a 2r 20p more or less being a road line situate in the Awamoko Survey District bounded on each side by sections numbered 2 15 16 and 18 block X 9250 links more or less.

  7. All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement 5a 1r 0p more or less being a road line situate in the Awamoko Survey District bounded on the north by sections numbered 1 and 2 block 10,500 links more or less and on the south by sections numbered 21 and 22 block X 10,500 links more or less.

Tuapeka District. (No. 28.)

  1. All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement 0a 1r 19p more or less being a road line situate in the Tuapeka District bounded on the north-east by section No. 54 block I 870 links more or less and on the south-west by sections numbered 58 and 59 920 links more or less.

  2. All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement 1a 1r 11p more or less being a road line situate in the Tuapeka District bounded on the north-east by sections numbered 52 58 and 61 block I 2646 links more or less and on the south-west by sections numbered 57 and 62 block I 2646 links more or less.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

In conformity to the 29th Section of the “Gold Fields Act 1866,” and to the Regulations made under that Act and the Gold Fields Acts Amendment Acts of 1867, 1868, and 1869, for the granting of leases for gold mining purposes within the Province of Otago, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease for gold mining purposes of Crown Lands to the applicant specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against granting such lease.

Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing and lodged with the Warden, at Alexandra, on or before the 12th day of June.

Copy of the application made, and plans annexed, may be seen at the Warden’s Office at Alexandra.

Given under my hand, at Dunedin, this thirtieth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-one.

Area, 16 poles. Upset price, £4 1s. Subject also to a valuation of £200 for buildings erected thereon.

EIGHT ACRES of Land in Hokonui District,

bounded by Sections 32, 276, the Pre-emptive Right on Run 146, and the road fronting Section 258, Hokonui District, will be sold by Auction, at the Land Office, Invercargill, at 12 o’clock noon, on Friday, the 30th day of June next. Upset price, 40s. per acre, in accordance with the 29th Clause of the “Southland Waste Lands Act 1865.”

PUBLIC NOTICE.

Sufficient proof having been produced to me that the portion of the Otago Gold Field described in the Schedule hereto has been fairly tested, and is either for the whole, or the greater part, of an inferior character as regards the value of its gold deposits;

I hereby give notice that the same may be occupied by holders of Miner’s Rights, in claims of the undermentioned size, viz.:

One (1) acre for each holder of a Miner’s Right; provided that no block claim shall comprise more than six acres altogether.
