Notice is hereby given that if said sums are not paid forthwith, Legal Proceedings will be adopted to recover the same.

Sir,—I have the honor to forward an Abstract of Meteorological Observations taken at Jamestown, at 8 a.m. daily, from 1st April, 1870, to 31st March, 1871. The Station is about 30 feet above sea-level, and at a distance of 3½ miles from the sea. The instruments employed are an Aneroid Barometer, and Fahrenheit Thermometer, placed in the shade.
