NEW MAP of the re-united Province of Otago, which includes Stewart's Island, now ready for sale at Land Office, and the various agencies—price 10s. 6d.

IMMIGRATION MONEY.

Several parties having neglected to pay Immigration Money as promised, Notice is hereby given that if said sums are not paid forthwith, Legal Proceedings will be adopted to recover the same.

ELECTORAL NOTICE.—Port Chalmers District.

The List of all those persons who during the last three months have preferred claims to be placed on the Electoral Roll for the District of Port Chalmers, is now posted for inspection at the Town Hall, Port Chalmers.—William Reid, Registration Officer.

ELECTION OF LOCAL BOARDS ROAD TRUSTEES.

Ratepayers in the undermentioned Road District having failed to elect a Local Board to serve for the year ending June, 1871. Notice is hereby given, that a meeting is appointed to be held for the purpose of electing five duly qualified persons to serve as a Local Board, as under:—

Awamoa,—Wednesday, 26th April, 1871, at the house of Matthew Holmes, Esq., at 3 o’clock p.m.

WAIHOLA WEST ROAD DISTRICT.

Ratepayers in the above district are requested to pay the amount of their rates to the Collector before the first of May next, otherwise proceedings will be taken for their recovery.—William Duff, Clerk to the Board.

OTANOMOMO Local Road Board

hereby intimate their intention of applying at the first meeting of the General Road Board for authority to levy a Highway Rate of 3d. per acre, for the current year in the above district.

The Assessment Roll is open for inspection at the house of Mr. W. Telford for fourteen days from date, Sundays excepted.—Wynter Blathwayt, Clerk to Local Road Board.

NOTICE.

The Precept having been issued authorising the Collection of the Highway Rate in the Deborah Bay Road District for Year ending 25th June, 1871, ratepayers are requested to pay their rates to me at my house on or before the seventeenth (17th) May, 1871.—Geo. C. Hitchcock, Collector, Deborah Bay.

TERAMAKA LOCAL ROAD BOARD

hereby intimate their intention of applying at the first meeting of the General Road Board, to be held in May, for authority to levy a Highway Rate of one shilling and fourpence in the pound for the current year in the above District. The Assessment Roll is open for inspection at Morton Mains station for fourteen days from date, Sundays excepted.—Alex. G. Macgregor, Clerk to the Local Road Board. Morton Mains, 18th April, 1871.

One red and white heifer, branded like P K off rump;
One red Steer, branded like Y K off rump;
One red Steer, branded like S off rump, 2 notches off ear;
One strawberry Steer, branded like J R off rump;
One black and white Bull, no visible brand;
One red and white Cow, branded like J M off rump;
One red and white Steer, branded like J R off rump;
One red and white Steer, branded like A off ribs;
One red Steer, branded like J P off rump, slit off ear;
One red and white Cow, branded like K near ribs, tip off near ear;
One red and white poley Steer, blotch brand off ribs, tip off ear;

Owners unknown; for trespassing on farm, destroying fences and crops; for which fifteen pounds twelve shillings and sixpence is claimed for trespass and driving;

And in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at Leaning Rock, Clyde, on Friday, the 5th day of May, 1871, at 12 o'clock noon.—William Williams, Poundkeeper Leaning Rock (Clyde) Pound.

IMPOUNDED

on the second day of April, 1871, by Patrick Ryan, farmer, Mount Ida;

One red and white Bull, branded like J C off shoulder; owner unknown; for trespassing on garden, and driving; for which seven pounds damages are claimed; and in default of being released, the above bull will be sold at the Public Pound at Clyde, Leaning Rock, on Friday, the 5th day of May, 1871, at 12 o’clock noon.—William Williams, Poundkeeper of the Leaning Rock (Clyde) Pound.

IMPOUNDED

on the eighth day of April, 1871, by Mr. R. M’Auley: one roan Steer, branded A off shoulder; owner unknown; for trespassing on fenced land; for which no damage is claimed; and in default of being released, the above steer will be sold at the Public Pound at Oamaru, on Friday, the 5th day of May, 1871, at 12 o’clock noon.—Fredk. Collis, Poundkeeper of the Oamaru Pound.

IMPOUNDED

on the 8th April, 1871, by Thomas Smithson, by order of Mr. M. Currie, Airedale, for trespassing on cut crop, for which 10s. per head damages are claimed:

1 red and white Steer, branded like J L off rump;
1 light-strawberry poley Cow, like O R near rump, with white bull Calf at foot, no brand;
1 red poley Cow, with white spot on forehead, O R near rump, top of near ear black, bit off near ear, strawberry Calf at foot, no brand;
1 red and white Cow, like n on rump, with calf at foot, no brand;
1 red and white Bull, no visible brand;

If the above cattle are not released before Friday, the 5th of May, they will be sold to defray expenses.—James Dalgleish, Poundkeeper, Papakaio.

on the 13th day of April, 1871, by John Irving, ranger:

One strawberry Bull, no visible brand;
One black-and-white Heifer, branded like the letters SS (reversed);
One yellow Heifer, no brand visible;

One red Steer, branded like the letters IB;
One strawberry Heifer, no visible brand;
