George Johnston, "All Nations' Company," for a Mining Lease of ten acres of land, situate at Black's No. 3.


PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

I N Conformity to the 29th Section of the "Gold Fields Act 1866," and to the Regulations made under that Act and the Gold Fields Acts Amendment Acts of 1867, 1868, and 1869, for the granting of leases for gold mining purposes within the Province of Otago, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease for gold mining purposes of Crown Lands to the applicant specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against granting such lease.

Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing, and lodged with the Warden, at Clyde, on or before the 1st day of May.

Copy of the application made, and plans annexed, may be seen at the Warden's Office at Clyde.

George Fache, "Alta Quartz Mining Company, Registered," for a Mining Lease of sixteen and a half acres of land, situate about four miles east of Logan Town, Bendigo Gully.

Of the Establishment of a Pound at Shotover.

NOTICE is hereby given, that by virtue of the powers vested in me by the "Impounding Ordinance 1862," I have established a Public Pound on Block III in the Shotover District, in the Province of Otago, and that I have appointed William Teal Marshall, of Shotover District aforesaid, to be Keeper of the said Pound.

  • 7th April, Friday noon, a red Steer will be sold at Papakaio Pound.

TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Lands and Works until noon of Tuesday, the 18th April, for Contract No. 557 -- Erection of a Court House at Cromwell.

Plans and Specifications may be seen and Forms of Tender obtained at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, or at District Engineer's Office, Cromwell.
