TENDERS will be received at the Office of the
Secretary for Land and Works until noon of
Friday, 24th March, for
Contract No. 553 — Repairing Bridge over
North Branch of Tokomairiro River.
Plans and Specifications may be seen, and Forms of
Tender obtained, at the office of the Engineer of Roads
and Works, Dunedin, or at Police Station, Tokomairiro.
Tenders to be indorsed "Roads and Works Tender
for Contract No. 553."
The Government does not undertake to accept the
lowest or any Tender.

ANDERSON’S BAY LOCAL BOARD.— Tenders
wanted, on or before the 8th March, for Contract No. 2, Clearing Bush and Forming Road, 16 feet
wide where shown. Apply to Mr. Adam Nichol,
Anderson’s Bay.
PORTOBELLO ROAD BOARD.— Tenders will
be received for the undermentioned works up to
Saturday, the 11th March—For Contract No. 4, for
formation of Road works, to be shown by Mr. James
Muir; also Contract No. 5, for formation of Road
works, to be shown by Mr. William Geary.—WILLIAM

CAVERSHAM ROAD BOARD.— Tenders wanted
for forming a Culvert through the Corstorphine
Road. Specifications may be seen on application to
Mr. Thomas Laing, Caversham, with whom tenders can
be lodged till 6 p.m. on Monday, the 13th March.
Caversham, 28th February, 1871.
TENDERS will be received up to noon of Monday,
the 20th March, 1871, for the supply of about 800 cubic yards metal on Maori
Hill. Plans and specifications may be seen at Wakari
School, and Tenders lodged with the undersigned on or
before the 15th March, 1871. The lowest or any

CORSTORPHINE ROAD BOARD. — Separate
Tenders will be received for the undermentioned
works up to 12 noon on Monday, the 20th inst., for—
1st, Cutting ditch and clearing 20 chains, more or less,
of road in Green Island Bush. Tender to state price
per chain. 2nd, Spreading 550 yards road metal, at
per yard. Specifications to be seen at the residence of
the undersigned up to the above date.—J. J. EAGERTY,

TENDERS wanted for cutting a road six feet wide
through rock on Sandymount road line, and
clearing seven (7) chains (more or less) of bush on
road No. 4. Specifications to be seen at the house of
Walter Riddell, who will show the works, on Thursday,
23rd day of March, from ten to twelve. Tenders to
close at two o’clock same day. The lowest or any
Tender not necessarily accepted.—WALTER RIDDELL,

BELL HILL WORKS.— Tenders will be received
at the Government Offices, Dunedin, until noon
of Thursday, 21st day of March current, for Carting for
Six Months—commencing 1st April, 1871.
Sureties will require to sign a form, which may be
obtained at the Gaol, and must be lodged with the
tender, for the due performance of the Contract.
Extent of security—£50 in all.
For further information apply at the Gaol, Dunedin.
WANTED, an Apprentice Draughtsman.—Apply
at the Survey Office, on or before 21st inst.
INCHOLME.— Tenders are invited for Contracts
Nos. 3 and 4, up to the 13th March. Plans and
specifications may be seen at Livingstone’s Library,
Oamaru, or at my Office, Dunedin. JOHN HARDY,

OMAHAWK LOCAL ROAD BOARD.— Tenders
wanted for the undermentioned works:—
Contract No. 1.— Claying 4 Chains of Road.
No. 2.— Making a Bridge over the Tomahawk
Stream.
Specifications can be seen, and tenders received, to
Monday, 13th March, 1871. The Board does not
undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.—ALEX.

ROSLYN ROAD BOARD.— Tenders for widen-
ing portions of District Road and Hart street,
and completing Michie street, will be received by the
undersigned until 6 p.m. the 14th inst. Specifications,
etc., can be seen at the Kaikorai Schoolhouse, between
the hours of 12 and 1 p.m. The lowest or any Tender

AHURIRI ROAD BOARD.— Tenders will be
received by the Clerk to the Board, until Mon-
day, the 20th inst., for forming portions of road and
building culverts. Parties will be shown over the work
to be done on Wednesday, the 15th inst., at 1 o’clock
p.m., commencing opposite Mr. Wm. M’Lean’s land.
The lowest or any Tender not necessarily accepted.—

WAKARI ROAD BOARD.— Tenders wanted
for four Contracts in Wakari Road District:
cutting, filling, and metalling, including a contract for
TEACHER WANTED, for the Moa Flat Side
School. Salary—£100 per annum, and School
fees. Applications, with testimonials, to be lodged at
the Education Office, Dunedin, on or before the 25th
March, 1871.
TEACHER WANTED, for the Lower Harbour Side
School. Salary—£75 per annum, and School
Fees. Applications, with testimonials, to be lodged at
the Education Office, on or before the 25th March,
1871.
WASTE LAND BOARD ADVERTISEMENTS.
NOTICE is hereby given that applications will be
received at the Land Office, Dunedin, for the
remaining part of Block 3, North Harbour and Blue-
skin District on and after Thursday, the second day of
March next.
NOTICE is hereby given that Block XXII, Arrow-
town, containing 3a. Or. 20p., and Section 38,
Block VII, Shotover District, containing 6a., known as
the Warden’s quarters Reserve, will be offered for sale
by Public Auction, at the Public Library, Arrowtown,
on Wednesday, the 15th day of March next, at noon, at
the upset price of £3 per acre, subject to a valuation
of £140 for house and other improvements erected
thereon.
