FRESH TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Land and Works until noon of Friday, 3rd March, for—
Contract No. 544—Construction of a Foot-bridge over the Pomahaka River.
Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the Office of the Engineer of Roads and Works Dunedin, or at Police Station, Tapanui.
Tenders to be indorsed "Roads and Works, Tender for Contract No. 544."
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.
WANTED, TENDERS for about 60 chains road formation in the Deborah Bay Road District. Intending contractors will meet at Mr. Hitchcock’s at 9 A.M. on Friday, March 3rd, and be shown the work; and tenders can be lodged at the Post Office, Port Chalmers, or at Mr. Lean’s, The Rocks, Port Chalmers, up till 6 P.M. on Saturday, March 4th. The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.—JOSEPH MAWSON.
BLUE MOUNTAIN DISTRICT ROAD BOARD
—Tenders are invited for the following works: The Erection of two Timber Bridges and road works; The Erection of a Culvert and road works. Plans and Specifications may be seen at the house of the Clerk, and Tenders lodged with Mr. Ross, Chairman, on or before noon, Saturday, 4th March. WAIHOLA WEST ROAD BOARD. —Tenders wanted for forming about 200 chains (more or less) of Roads. Specifications may be seen and the line of road shown by the members of the Board at Mr. Grey’s on the 4th March, at 1 o’clock P.M. ANDERSON’S BAY LOCAL BOARD. —Tenders wanted, on or before the 8th March, for Contract No. 2, Clearing Bush and Forming Road, 16 feet wide where shown. Apply to Mr. ADAM NICHOL, Anderson’s Bay.
PORTOBELLO ROAD BOARD. —Tenders will be received for the undermentioned works up to Saturday, the 11th March—For Contract No. 4, for formation of Road works, to be shown by Mr. James Muir; also Contract No. 5, for formation of Road works, to be shown by Mr. William Geary.—WILLIAM DICKSON, Clerk to the Board. NOTICE is hereby given that Block XXII, Arrowtown, containing 3a. 0r. 20p., and Section 38, Block VII, Shotover District, containing 6a., known as the Warden’s quarters Reserve, will be offered for sale by Public Auction, at the Public Library, Arrowtown, on Wednesday, the 15th day of March next, at noon, at the upset price of £3 per acre, subject to a valuation of £140 for house and other improvements erected thereon. —It is hereby notified to the applicants whose names appear in the subjoined Schedule, that the Waste Land Board has declared them to be the purchasers of the sections set opposite their names in the Schedule, and that the purchase money of these sections must be paid to the Receiver of Land Revenue in Dunedin, on or before Wednesday, the 15th day of March, 1871, otherwise the applications will be deemed withdrawn, cancelled, and void, and the deposit made at the time of lodging the application will be forfeited.
