FRESH TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Land and Works until noon of Friday, 3rd March, for—
Contract No. 544—Construction of a Foot bridge over the Pomahaka River.
Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the Office of the Engineer of Roads and Works Dunedin, or at Police Station, Tapanui.
Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works, Tender for Contract No. 544.”
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.
WANTED, TENDERS for about 60 chains road formation in the Deborah Bay Road District. Intending contractors will meet at Mr. Hitchcock’s at 9 a.m. on Friday, March 3rd, and be shown the work; and tenders can be lodged at the Post Office, Port Chalmers, or at Mr. Lean’s, The Rocks, Port Chalmers, up till 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 4th. The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.—JOSEPH RAWSON.
BLUE MOUNTAIN DISTRICT ROAD BOARD.

The Erection of a Culvert and road works. Plans and Specifications may be seen at the house of the Clerk, and Tenders lodged with Mr. Ross, Chairman, on or before noon, Saturday, 4th March. WAIHOLA WEST ROAD BOARD.—Tenders wanted for forming about 200 chains (more or less) of Roads. Specifications may be seen and the line of road shown by the members of the Board at Mr. Grey’s on the 4th March, at 1 o’clock p.m. The lowest or any Tender may not be accepted.—WILLIAM DUFF, Clerk to the Board. WASTE LAND BOARD ADVERTISEMENTS.
NOTICE is hereby given that applications will be received at the Land Office, Dunedin, for the remaining part of Block 3, North Harbor and Blueskin District on and after Thursday, the second day of March next.
NOTICE is hereby given that Block XXII, Arrowtown, containing 3a. Or. 20p., and Section 38, Block VII, Shotover District, containing 6a., known as the Warden’s quarters Reserve, will be offered for sale by Public Auction, at the Public Library, Arrowtown, on Wednesday, the 15th day of March next, at noon, at the upset price of £3 per acre, subject to a valuation of £140 for house and other improvements erected thereon.—J. WHEREAS the decision, award, and direction of the Land Claims Commissioner in respect of the Grant to George Green of 117 acres in Block I, Compbelltown Hundred, was confirmed by a Judge of the Supreme Court on the 31st day of October, 1870, the said Grant has been recommended to his Excellency the Governor for cancellation, and has been cancelled accordingly, as provided by the “Green and Spencer Land Claims Act 1868.”

NOTICE.
CROWN GRANTS for the Land, and in favor of the persons after-mentioned, are now ready for delivery; and attention is directed to the following clauses of the “Crown Grants Act 1866.”
Clause XXXIX.—There shall be paid upon all Grants to be hereafter issued, which may be left in the charge or custody of any Commissioner of Crown Lands, or other officer charged with the delivery of the same, a fee of sixpence for every month during which they shall be so left after the expiration of three months from the date of the notice in the Gazette wherein the lands are situate, that such Grants are ready for delivery.
Clause XL.—There shall be paid upon all Grants issued prior to the passing of this Act, and left as aforesaid in the custody of the officer charged with the delivery thereof, a fee of sixpence per month for every month during which they shall be so left after two months subsequent to the passing of this Act.
