NOTICE.
"Provincial Compulsory Lands Taking Act 1866."
NOTICE is hereby given that it is intended to introduce a Bill into the Provincial Council of the Province of Otago at its next Session authorizing the Superintendent of the Province of Otago to take compulsorily for the purpose of completing a road in the Sandymount Road District parts of sections numbered respectively four and five block three Otago Peninsula Survey District. And notice is hereby further given that a copy of the Bill so intended to be introduced as aforesaid may be inspected at the Office of the Clerk of the Provincial Council on and after the twentieth day of April next.

PUBLICAN’S LICENSES.
The Quarterly Meetings for granting licenses, &c., will be held in the various Licensing Courts within the Province at noon on Tuesday, the 7th day of March, 1871. Applications &c., respecting business must be made to the respective Clerks of Court at least 14 clear days before such meeting, otherwise the business cannot be transacted.

of Impounding Notices:—
24th February, Friday, noon, two Cows and a Calf will be sold at Lawrence.
24th February, Friday, noon, a Bullock will be sold at Papakaio Pound.
24th February, Friday, noon, a Gelding, a Mare, and a Colt, will be sold at Clyde Pound.
TENDERS are wanted for supplying and fixing up timber and ironwork of bridge, 30 feet span, at Keay’s Creek, Whare Flat. Drawings and Specifications to be seen at the office of the undersigned, with whom tenders may be lodged until 2 P.M. of Saturday, the 25th instant. By order of the Flagstaff Road Board.

TENDERS for an approach to Highcliff Schoolhouse, to consist of earthwork, culvert, &c., will be received until Tuesday, 28th inst. Specifications, &c., may be seen on application at Schoolhouse.

TOMAHAWK LOCAL ROAD BOARD.—Tenders
will be received until the 1st March for a Surfaceman, to employ a portion of his time in keeping the water-tables clear, and the water from destroying the Main District Road. Messrs Wm. Sanderson and Matheson will give any information required to intending contractors. The Board does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.
