ELECTION of Local Board Road Trustees.
Ratepayers in the undermentioned Road District having failed to elect a Local Board to serve for the year ending June, 1871, Notice is hereby given, that a Meeting is appointed to be held for the purpose of electing five duly qualified persons to serve as a Local Board as under:
Glenore, Saturday, 27th August, 1870, at the house of Mr. William Black, at 3 p.m.

ASSESSMENT OF STOCK DEPASTURED ON HUNDREDS.
Persons who have neglected to pay their Assessment in terms of the “Otago Waste Land Act 1866, Amendment Act 1869,” are requested to do so at once.
All parties in arrears on 1st October, will be proceeded against in terms of the 11th section of the above Act.

NOTICE.
Public notification is hereby given, that the ground described in the Schedule below may be occupied by holders of miners’ rights, in terms of Section I of Regulation IV of the Regulations of the Otago Goldfields.

All that area containing the Arrow river and its tributaries, extending in breadth from watershed to watershed, and in length from north to south.
EXTRACT FROM PREVIOUS GAZETTES of Impounding Notices:
26th August, Friday noon, two bullocks and a heifer will be sold at Oamaru Pound.
26th August, Friday noon, three cows and a calf will be sold at Tokomairiro Pound—Goodall’s.
2nd September, Friday, noon, 3 geldings, one mare, and one filly will be sold at Hawksbury Pound.
FRESH TENDERS
Tenders will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Land and Works, until noon of Monday, the 29th August, 1870, for
Contract No. 485.—Constructing portions of the road “Tuapeka to Teviot.”
Plans and Specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, or at the Police Station, Lawrence.
Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works Tender for Contract No. 485.”
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.
Tenders will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Land and Works until noon of Friday, 2nd September, for
Contract No. 487, Construction of a Stone and Iron Bridge over the Awamoa Creek, near Oamaru.
Plans and Specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the Office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin; or at Police Station, Oamaru.
Tenders to be endorsed, “Roads and Works, Tender for Contract No. 487.”
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.
