NOTICE
Notice is hereby given, that the following allotments of Rural Land will be offered for sale by Public Auction in the Land Office, Dunedin, on Monday, the 19th day of September next, at 12 o'clock noon.
Block 3, Kuriwao District
- Section 1, containing 25 1 24 a. r. p.
- Section 2, 4 3 11
- Section 3, 10 1 15
- Section 10, 9 3 19
The Popotunoa Gorge Accommodation, now occupied by Mr. Thomas Pollock, is situated on Section 2, and the land and buildings will be offered in one lot at an upset price to be stated in a future advertisement. The Survey Office stands on Section 3, and the land and building will be offered together.
Section 1 is the fenced paddock attached to the Accommodation House.
Further particulars as to number of rooms, outhouses, fences, may be obtained at the Land Office, Dunedin, on and after Wednesday, the 10th current.

WANTED
For the North-East Valley District School, a Master, of superior qualifications. Salary £100, with a very large proportion of the fees. There is a good residence, with garden, and also a grass paddock of nearly five acres. There are two commodious class-rooms, and a first-class school-mistress is employed. As the district is populous, and close to Dunedin, and as the number of pupils likely to study the more advanced branches is considerable, a well-qualified Head Master could make this school one of the best in the Province. Sealed applications, with testimonials, to be lodged, on or before August 12th, with Henry Duncan, Secretary to the School Committee, N. E. Valley, Dunedin.
Licensing (Publicans') Ordinance, price 1s.
May be had of Provincial Government Storekeeper, Dunedin. The usual allowance to the Trade when twelve are taken. These are the prices in Dunedin. If mailed the postage must be paid by purchaser.
MEETING of the Education Board
A meeting of the Education Board will be held at the Government Buildings, Dunedin, on Thursday, the 18th August, 1870, at noon.

NOTICE.—The undermentioned goods having remained in Bond beyond the time prescribed by law, will be sold, by public auction, at 12 o'clock on Friday, the 12th instant, at the Universal Bond, in accordance with Section 89 of the “Customs Regulation Act 1858”:

- 919, 1 prge. tobacco, 124 lbs.

PINE HILL ROAD DISTRICT
The Local Road Board hereby notify their intention of applying at the next sitting of the General Road Board, on the first Thursday of August, 1870, for authority to levy an acreage rate of one shilling per acre. The assessment roll for the above district is now ready, and may be inspected by the ratepayers at my house, N. E. Valley, fourteen days from the date of this notice.

Notice is hereby given that application has been made to close the road running between sections 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 87, 86, 23, 22, 21, 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 29, 30, 31, block VI, Otepopo District. Parties having any objections are therefore requested to lodge them with the undersigned prior to the 18th prox.

ROSLYN ROAD BOARD
Notice to the Ratepayers. It is the intention of the Roslyn Road Board to make application to the General Road Board for power to levy a highway rate for the year 1870-71. The Revised Assessment Roll is open for inspection, to all whom it may concern, at the Kaitangata Hill Hotel. Dated this 19th day of July, 1870.
