WANTED, for the North-East Valley District School, a Master, of superior qualifications. Salary, £100, with a very large proportion of the fees. There is a good residence, with garden, and also a grass paddock of nearly five acres. There are two commodious class-rooms, and a first-class Schoolmistress is employed. As the district is populous and close to Dunedin, and as the number of pupils likely to study the more advanced branches is considerable, a well-qualified Head Master could make this school one of the best in the Province. Sealed applications, with testimonials, to be lodged, on or before August 12th, with HENRY DUNCAN, Secretary to the School Committee, N.E. Valley, Dunedin.
EDUCATION MEETING.—The inhabitants of Sandymount and vicinity are requested to meet at the house of Mr. Walter Riddle, upon Thursday, the 4th August, at half-past 7 o'clock p.m., to elect a School Committee for the current year.
JOHN HISLOP, Secretary.
THE statutory Half-yearly Meeting of the Education Board will be held upon Thursday, the 28th July, 1870, at noon.
JOHN HISLOP, Secretary.
