Gold Field and it shall not be necessary to withdraw lands from the operation of the said Act for the purposes aforesaid. And whereas all Depasturing Licences and Leases heretofore existing over the Crown Lands specified in the Schedule hereto have been cancelled: And whereas the Executive Government of the Province of Otago have determined to open up for sale the said Crown Lands specified in the Schedule hereto in sections of the size and form in which the same have been surveyed and as the same are now laid off and delineated in the maps of the Chief Surveyor of the Province of Otago relative thereto. Now therefore His Honor James Macandrew Superintendent of the Province of Otago by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Province doth hereby by virtue and in exercise of the powers delegated to the Executive Government of the said Province in this behalf by His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand in Council under the authority of the “Gold Fields Act Amendment Act 1867” and of any and every other power in anywise enabling the said Executive Government in this behalf proclaim and declare that from and after the day of the date hereof all the Crown Lands specified in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale in sections of the size and form in which such lands respectively have already been surveyed and as the same are now laid off and delineated on the maps in the Office of the Chief Surveyor of the Province of Otago relative thereto respectively.

The Schedules above referred to:

All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement sixty-four (64) acres and twenty-five (25) poles more or less situate in Shotover Survey District and being sections 102 112 113 114 and 115 block IX and sections 43 44 45 46 47 48 49 50 51 52 53 and 54 block IX as the same is delineated on the map of the said district deposited in the Survey Office Dunedin.

All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement twenty-one (21) acres three (3) roods and thirty-four (34) poles more or less situate in Shotover District being sections numbered respectively one hundred and two (102) one hundred and twelve (112) one hundred and thirteen (113) one hundred and fourteen (114) and one hundred and fifteen (115) block three (III) on the map of the said district bounded towards the north-west by a road line five hundred (500) links also by section numbered eighteen (18) two hundred and twenty-two (222) links towards the east by reserve four thousand five hundred and two (4502) links and one thousand two hundred and seventy-one (1271) links towards the south-east by a road line five hundred and ninety (590) links towards the south-west by a road line one thousand three hundred and fifteen (1315) links also by section numbered sixty-one (61) one thousand seven hundred and sixty-nine (1769) links and towards the west by a road line two thousand one hundred and sixty-six (2166) links and intersected by three (3) road lines each one hundred (100) links wide.

Also, all that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement forty-one (41) acres two (2) roods and twenty (20) poles more or less situate in the Shotover District being sections numbered respectively forty-three (43) forty-four (44) forty-five (45) forty-six (46) forty-seven (47) forty-eight (48) forty-nine (49) fifty (50) fifty-one (51) fifty-two (52) and fifty-three (53) block nine (IX) on the map of the said district bounded towards the north by Reserve two hundred and twenty-four (224) links towards the east by a road line three thousand six hundred and seventy-two (3672) links two thousand four hundred and twenty-one (2421) links and one thousand four hundred and ten (1410) links towards the south-east by a road line one thousand and twenty-four (1024) links and three thousand six hundred and ninety-five (3095) links towards the south-west by Reserve one hundred and thirty-seven (137) links towards the north-west by Reserve three thousand seven hundred and fifty-eight (3758) links and two thousand and fifty-nine (2059) links and two thousand one hundred and sixty-one (2161) links and intersected by two (2) road lines each two hundred (200) links wide.

All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement two (2) roods and eleven (11) poles more or less situate in Shotover District being section numbered fifty-four (54) block nine (IX) on the map of the said district bounded towards the north by Reserve four hundred and forty-one (441) links towards the east by Reserve one hundred and twenty-two (122) links towards the south by a road line three hundred and thirty (330) links and towards the west by Reserve one hundred and ninety-seven (197) links.

NOTICE is hereby given, that Sections 102, 112 to 115, Block III., and Sections 43 to 54, Block IX, Shotover District (small sections around Lake Hayes), will be offered for sale by public auction by Mr. John Spence, at the Survey Office, Queenstown, on Saturday the 25th day of June next, at noon, at the upset price of £2 per acre, subject to valuation (to be stated at time of sale) for improvements effected thereon.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Mining Leases issued in favor of Harrison and Co., for la 3r 7p of land situate at the Spur head of Murrie’s Gully, Tuapeka; and Fenton and Co., for la 3r 31p in the same locality, has been cancelled and the ground is open for application by holders of Miner’s Rights.
