NOTIFICATION
Of the Establishment of a Pound at Glenkenich.
NOTICE is hereby given, that by virtue of the powers vested in me by the "Impounding Ordinance 1862," I have established a Public Pound on part of Section numbered twenty-one, Block thirteen, Glenkenich District, in the Province of Otago; and that I have appointed
Alexander McGregor,
of Tapanui, in the said Province, to be Keeper of the said Pound.

PUBLIC NOTICE:
Given in conformity with Section 1, of Regulation IV, of the Rules and Regulations of the Otago Gold Field.
WHEREAS I have received sufficient proof that the portion of the Otago Gold Field, described in the Schedule hereto annexed, has been fairly tested, and is either in whole or in part of an inferior character as regards the value of its gold deposits:
Now, therefore, I hereby give notice that the same may be occupied by holders of Miners’ Rights in claims of the undermentioned size, viz.:
One (1) acre for each holder of a Miner’s Right, provided that no block claim shall comprise more than six acres altogether.
Given under my hand at Roxburgh, in the Province of Otago, this 5th day of April, 1870.

SCHEDULE:
All that portion of the Otago Gold Field comprised within the following boundaries, that is to say: the east and west banks of the Clutha River, for a distance of five hundred (500) yards back from either bank, commencing at the Gorge Creek, and terminating at the 12 Mile Creek, Mount Benger District.

POLICE DEPARTMENT.—Tenders for supplying
the under-mentioned Police Stations with Forage
for the twelve months ending 31st March, 1871, will be received at the Government Buildings, Dunedin, until noon of Monday, 18th April, 1870.

THE Meadowbank Road Board invite Tenders for the following works:
Contract No. 1.—Forming a portion of Road with Culverts.
Contract No. 2.—Forming and Gravelling about 24 Chains of Road.
Plans and specifications may be seen, and tenders lodged, with Mr. W. A. Young, on or before noon Saturday, the 16th April. The Board does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

Tenders to be sent in on or before Thursday, the 21st inst., to Mr. John Findlay, from whom all information will be obtained.

NOTICE.—The Broad Bay Road Board invite Tenders for the formation of 16 chains, more or less, of a track round the beach of Hooper’s Inlet.
Mr. Joseph Young will show the work between the hours of 12 and 2 p.m., on Saturday, 23rd April, and tenders must be sent in to him, on or before 12 p.m., on 25th inst.
TENDERS wanted for the Erection of a School House for South Bridge District.
Plans and specifications will be seen till the 26th April, at the Office of R. R. Jones, Milton.
