IMPOUNDED on the 16th day of March, 1870, by Messrs. P. and G. Grant, Blueskin: one spotted light-red and white yearling bull, no visible brand; one spotted dark-brown and white bull, no visible brand; owners unknown; for trespassing on their growing crop of turnips, for which 3s. 6d. per head is claimed, and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at Blueskin, on Friday, the 15th day of April, 1870, at 12 o’clock noon.—J. Dunedin and Port Chalmers Railway.—Session 1870.

NOTICE is hereby given that application is intended to be made, at the ensuing Session of the Provincial Council of Otago for leave to introduce a Bill under the provisions of the “Provincial Compulsory Land Taking Act 1866” authorising David Prou, foot of Dunedin in the Province of Otago and Colony of New Zealand Contractor and John Thomas Chaplin of the same place Coach Proprietor to take compulsorily for the purpose of making and constructing a Railway from Port Chalmers in the said Province to the City of Dunedin in the said Province and of constructing wharves, jetties, and other necessary erections for the purpose of enabling ships and vessels to load and discharge their cargoes and land and take in passengers from and to such Railway the lands or portions of the lands particularly mentioned and situated as described in the Schedule hereunder written: And notice is hereby further given that a copy of the Bill so intended to be introduced as aforesaid may be inspected at the Office of the Clerk of the said Provincial Council on and after the twenty-fifth day of April next ensuing the date hereof.
