BELL HILL WORKS.—Tenders will be received at the Government Offices, Dunedin, until noon of Tuesday, 22nd March current, for Carting for six months, commencing 1st April, 1870.

Securities will require to sign a form, which may be obtained at the Gaol, and must be lodged with the tender for the due performance of the contract. Extent of security, £50 in all.

Contract No. 483:—Construction of Portion of the road "Palmerston to Ewe Burn" in Block I., Dunback District.

TENDERS are invited by the Purakanui Road Board for the following works—

Contract No. 11. Being the Stumping and Forming about 35chs., more or less, of the Main District Road.

Contract No. 12. Being the Stumping and Forming about 32chs., more or less, of the road along Mopanui from its junction with the Port Chalmers and Blueskin road.

Intending contractors will be shown the works on Wednesday, March 23rd—for the upper road, to meet at Mr. Sime’s, at 1 p.m.; for the main district road, at the house of the undersigned, at 3 p.m.

Specifications can be seen, and tenders lodged with the undersigned, or at the shop of Mr. Wm. Mawson, bootmaker, Port Chalmers, up till 10 a.m. on Friday, the 25th.—Joseph Mawson, Clerk Purakanui Road Board.

WHIRO.—Tenders will be received up to the 20th March for about 100 chains of Wire Fencing. Specifications to be seen at Mr Kirkland’s, Owhiro, or at my office, Dunedin.—John Hardy, Engineer to the Board.

MAUNGATUA.—Tenders are invited for the erection of a Timber Bridge, 64ft. span, across the lagoon in Lower Waipori Flat, near Berwick. Plans and specifications may be seen from the 20th to the 28th instant at Messrs Snow’s Store, Outram, or at my office in Dunedin. Tenders to be sent to Mr William M’Diarmid, Commissioner for executing the duties of a Local Board in the District of Maungatua.—John Hardy, Engineer to the District.

MONTROYAL ROAD DISTRICT.—Tenders wanted for the erection of a Timber Bridge over Pleasant River. Specifications to be seen, and tenders lodged with Mr. W. Mitchell, Pleasant Valley, on or before Monday, noon, the 21st inst.—John Keen, Clerk and Collector. 4th March, 1870.

CHALGROVE LOCAL BOARD.—Tenders will be received up to March 22, for Contract No. 7. Plans and specifications may be seen at the Post-office, Hampden; or at my office, Dunedin.—John Hardy, C.E.

TENDERS wanted for the Tomakawk Road District. Intending contractors to meet Messrs Matheson and Stewart upon Wednesday, 23rd March, at the Lagoon Bridge, at 10 o’clock a.m., to have the works pointed out. All tenders to be sent in by or before Monday, the 28th March, to the Clerk to the Board.—Alex. Henderson.

NOTICE.—Tenders wanted by the Broad Bay Road Board for the following works—

No. 6. For Sundry Alterations upon said Road, also Metalling of portion of same. Mr Bacon will shew work and specifications, also receive tenders up to 10 o’clock a.m. of 26th March inst.

No. 7. For Clearing Rush and Forming 30 Chains, more or less, road line. Mr George Anderson will shew work, specifications, &c., and receive tenders till 10 a.m. of 26th inst.

No. 8. For Formation of 40 Chains, more or less, on Beach road. Mr Raynbird will shew work, specification, &c., and receive tenders till 12 noon of 26th March inst.

TENDERS will be received at the Post Office, Green Island, until noon of Tuesday, 29th March, 1870, for Metalling 10 Chains, more or less, of the Green Island District Road.

Specifications may be seen at the house of Mr. James Kirkland.
