PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS.
IT IS HEREBY NOTIFIED that the provisions contained in Clause 21 of the General Conditions of Contract, have been rescinded, and the Government will not be responsible for payment of Wages due by Contractors to their Workmen on Contracts let after this date.

THE OTAGO WASTE LANDS ACT 1866 AMENDMENT ACT, 1869.
Mr. HENRY SUTCLIFFE, Clerk to the West Harbour District Road Board, is authorised by His Honor the Superintendent, under the provisions of Section 13 of the above-mentioned Act, to impound all Cattle found trespassing upon any Public Road within the limits of the West Harbour Road District.

"Provincial Compulsory Lands Taking Act 1866."
NOTICE is hereby given, that it is intended to introduce a Bill into the Provincial Council of the Province of Otago, at its next session, authorising the Superintendent of the Province of Otago to take compulsorily, for the purpose of completing a road in the Kurimoto Road District, a portion of section numbered four (4), block twenty-seven (XXVII), on map of the Waihola Survey District.
And notice is hereby further given, that a copy of the Bill so intended to be introduced as aforesaid may be inspected at the office of the Clerk of the said Provincial Council on and after the thirty-first of March now instant.
