PUBLICANS’ LICENSES. --- The Quarterly Meet-
ings for granting Licenses, &c., will be held in the
various Licensing Courts within the Province, at noon
on Tuesday, the 1st March, 1870. Applications, &c.,
respecting business, must be made to the respective
Clerks of Court at least 14 clear days before such meet-
ing, otherwise the business cannot be transacted.
AUCTIONEERS LICENSE. --- A Meeting will be
held at the Government Offices, Dunedin, on
Tuesday, 1st March, at 10 o'clock, a.m., to consider the
application of
JAMES MILNER, Dunedin,
for an Auctioneer's License: His application is signed
by Thomas L. Leary, Sydney James; James Kennedy,
William Gregg, John M’Lean, John Brown, all of
Dunedin.
THE under-mentioned Supplementary List of Li-
censed Auctioneers for the year ending 10th
January, 1871, is published for general information.

OTAGO SCHOOL OF ART.
MR. HUTTON, Provincial Drawing Master, will
shortly open the following-mentioned Drawing
Classes in the New Post Office Building, Princes street,
Dunedin : ---
- A class for Teachers and Pupil Teachers upon
Saturday, the 5th March, 1870, at 11 o'clock a.m.
All teachers, whether public or private, are invited to
attend. Admission free. - A class for Girls upon Monday, the 28th of Feb-
ruary, 1870. This class will meet from 2 till 4 o'clock
p.m., upon Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Fee,
15s. per quarter, of ten weeks. - A class for the pupils of the High School upon
Tuesday, the 29th February, 1870. This class will
meet from 3 till 4 o'clock p.m., upon Tuesdays and
Thursdays. Admission free. Youths not attending
any of the Government Schools will be admitted as
pupils of this class on payment of a fee of 10s. per
quarter, of ten weeks.
Arrangements will shortly be made for the teaching
of Drawing, as far as practicable, in the District
Schools, and for the opening of an Evening Drawing
Class.

WANTED, for the Oamaru Grammar School, a
Second Master. Salary, £200 per annum.
Other qualifications being equal, preference will be
given to a gentleman competent to teach vocal music.
Applications, with testimonials, will be received up to
February 28th, 1870.

on Monday, January 31st. The School fee is £2
per quarter, and is payable in advance. Full information
about the School may be obtained on application.

School. Salary, £75 per annum and school

Guaranteed Salary £100 per annum, with School fees

on Electoral Roll, may be obtained from any of
the Registration Offices within the Province, or from
the Government Storekeeper.
