It is submitted to the City Council, and allowed; that the same is deposited at my office, City Council Chambers, New Post Office Building, Princes street, and may be daily inspected between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., by any person interested therein.

It is further notified, that any appeals against the assessment may be lodged at the Council Chambers (where blank forms may be had) on or before the 8th day of February, 1870, and a copy of such notice of appeal must be delivered by the appellant to the Clerk of the Resident Magistrate’s Court, Dunedin, six clear days before the day of hearing.

The day of hearing will be a few days subsequent to the 8th of February, 1870.

CITY OF DUNEDIN.

Nomination of Candidates for Councillorship for Leith Ward, in room of Mr. Robert Smith Dods, resigned.

PUBLIC NOTICE — IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nomination of Candidates for election to the office of Councillor as above, will be declared on Monday, the 17th day of January instant, at the Terrace of the Provincial Council Chambers, at the hour of Noon.

Nominations must be in form of Schedule D of the “Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance 1865,” and be lodged at the office of the Town Clerk, Princes street, where blank forms may be had on or before noon of the day herein fixed for the declaration.

In pursuance of an order of His Honor Mr. Justice Ward, dated the seventh day of January, 1870, made under “The Trustees’ Relief Act 1862”: Notice is hereby given, that all persons who may have claims against the estate of the late James Clifford M’Guire of Dunedin, in the Province of Otago, are directed to send in their claims to Mrs. Mary M’Guire of Dunedin, aforesaid, the sole executrix named in the will of the said James Clifford M’Guire, (to the care of the undersigned), within three months from the twenty-second day of January instant: And notice is hereby further given, that after the expiration of the said period of three months the said executrix, Mary M’Guire, will proceed to distribute the assets of the said James Clifford M’Guire amongst the parties entitled thereto, having regard to the claims of which the said executrix, Mary M’Guire, shall then have had notice.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the partnership heretofore subsisting between the undersigned, as Flaxdressers, carrying on business at Port Molyneux, under the name of the “Port Molyneux Flax Company,” has this day been dissolved by mutual consent. All debts due to the late firm will be paid by Mr. James Paterson of Port Molyneux; and all persons indebted to the firm are requested forthwith to pay the amounts to Mr. Paterson, whose receipt will be a good discharge.
