RESIGNATION.—His Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has received and accepted the resignation of George M’Lean, Esquire,
as Provincial Secretary and Treasurer of the Province of Otago; also, his resignation as a Member of the Provincial Council, for the District of Waikouaiti.

HIS HONOR THE SUPERINTENDENT directs it to be notified that he has appointed Donald Reid, Esquire, to be Acting Provincial Secretary and Treasurer for the Province of Otago.

NOTICE.
Of certain Land in the Province of Otago having been reserved for Railway purposes.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS the Provincial Council of Otago have under and by virtue of Section 62 of the “Otago Waste Lands Act 1869” recommended that the lands hereinafter described should be reserved for Railway purposes in the Province of Otago; and it is expedient that the said lands should be so reserved for this purpose. Now therefore, I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf, do publish and declare that I have made and dedicated the lands hereinafter described a Reserve for Railway purposes in the Province of Otago (that is to say):—

All that area in the Province of Otago, containing by admeasurement two thousand three hundred and twenty-seven (2,327) acres three (3) roods and nineteen (19) poles, more or less, situate in the Papakaio district, being sections numbered respectively three (3), eight (8), nineteen (19), twenty (20), twenty-one (21), twenty-two (22), twenty-three (23), twenty-four (24), twenty-five (25), twenty-six (26), twenty-seven (27), and twenty-eight (28), Block Eight (VIII), seventeen (17), eighteen (18), nineteen (19), twenty (20), fifty (50), fifty-one (51), fifty-two (52), fifty-three (53), fifty-five (55), fifty-six (56), fifty-seven (57), fifty-eight (58), ninety-two (92), ninety-three (93), ninety-four (94), ninety-five (95), one hundred and three (103), one hundred and four (104), one hundred and thirty-eight (138), one hundred and thirty-nine (139), one hundred and forty (140), and one hundred and fifty-five (155), Block Four (IV.) on the map of the said district:

Bounded towards the north by section numbered 91; Block IV., one thousand two hundred (1,200) links; by a road line two thousand (2,000) links, by section numbered 49 two thousand (2,000) links, by a road line two thousand (2,000) links; by section numbered 16 Block IV., one thousand six hundred (1,650) links, by a road line one thousand seven hundred and fifty-nine (1,759) links; by a road line four thousand (4,000) links, by sections numbered respectively 4 and 5, Block VIII., four thousand eight hundred and seventy-one (4,871) links; by section numbered 7 Block VIII., five thousand nine hundred and five (5,905) links; also, by a road line one thousand three hundred and eighty-nine (1389) links towards the east, by a road line two thousand seven hundred (2,700) links, by a road line five thousand...
