Imports: £4,985,748, there being a decrease of £358,859, as compared with 1867; while Otago, taken by itself, gives an increase as shown above of £42,373.

Exports: £4,429,198, there being a decrease on the previous year of £215,480; although, in the case of Otago, there is an increase as above shown of £77,834.
