by a direct line to Leaning Rock creek at its junction with the Clutha river; thence by Leaning Rock creek to Leaning Rock hill; thence to Chattoburn at its source, and by Chattoburn to Manuherikia river; and thence, in a direct line, to South Rough-ridge hill, the starting point.
Black’s Licensing District shall, for the purposes of the said Ordinance, comprise all that area bounded: towards the south-west by Clyde Licensing District; towards the north-west by the Dunstan mountains to the Lauder creek, at its source; towards the northeast by Lauder creek to the Manuherikia river; thence by the Manuherikia river to the junction of Ida burn; thence by the Ida burn to its junction with Pool burn; thence by a direct line to North Rough-ridge hill; and on the east by the Naseby Licensing District.
Cromwell Licensing District shall, for the purposes of the said Ordinance, comprise all that area bounded: towards the north by the Province of Canterbury to a point direct north of Mount St. Bathans; towards the east by a line running due south to Mount St. Bathans; and thence along the south-west boundaries of Clyde, Blacks, and St. Bathans Licensing Districts; towards the west by Clyde, Arrow, and Queenstown Licensing Districts; and a line from Fox peak along the east branch of the Matukituki river to the Province of Canterbury.

PUBLICANS’ LICENSES &c.—Annual Meeting.
It is hereby notified that the Annual Licensing Meeting will be held on Tuesday, the 7th day of December, at the Courts of the Resident Magistrates throughout the Province, for the purpose of granting General, General Night, Bottle, and Wholesale Licenses, &c.
Intending applicants are reminded that the Certificates, together with the License Fee, must be lodged in the Treasury, Dunedin, within 21 days (viz., Dec. 29) from the above-mentioned date, or in default thereof, for a further period of 30 days, the License may be issued upon payment of a Fine of Two Pounds in each case, additional to the License Fee.
All persons interested are hereby informed that the law will be strictly enforced, and that if they fail to make the necessary applications and payments as herein stated, they will have no possible remedy.
Applications must be lodged with the Clerk of Court, at least 14 days before the said meeting.

SUPREME COURT.—Notice is hereby given that a Sitting of the Supreme Court for the despatch of Criminal and Civil Business, will be held at the Supreme Court House, Dunedin, on Wednesday, the first day of December next, at the hour of ten o’clock in the forenoon, at which time and place, all persons bound by recognizances to appear as Prosecutors, Defendants, or Witnesses, are required to give their attendance.
Notice is hereby further given that the Civil Cases will not be called on for trial until Monday, the thirteenth day of December, at ten o’clock in the forenoon.
